This looks really good too, can't wait for it to come out.

Having had its reputation as salacious smut precede it, I was surprised to find this was very sweet.

Pared down to 2-3 hours, I might actually be able to watch ALL of this! But word is there's to be no Aloysius :(

Okay, now 11 hours of THIS cast I would love to watch! What a difference. The main characters were actually attractive and had chemistry. And there WAS an Aloysius, only they didn't bonk you over the head with him, it was perfectly done. So glad I gave it another try, as I'm unlikely to get the book read anytime soon.

I haven't even seen this, (and I don't like Myley or country ) but I keep singing the song "I Thought I Lost You" to my kitties and it gets me all choked up. And I tell them "I'm your person, and you are my cat!".

I just watched this yesterday. It was cute.

Cute! I can't believe Disney didn't mass-merch a "Mr. Carrot".

If it's written by the people who wrote Legally Blonde it must be pretty good.

It was just kinda okay with a corny girl self-empowerment theme at the end, but at one point early on Emma Stone made me belly-laugh :D

I thought the short movie trailer on tv looked pretty goofy namely because of Michelle Pfeiffer, and planned to skip it. Turns out the cast is stellar and an early review was good, so I'll rent it when it comes out on DVD. "In spite of what first impressions may give, it isn't cheesy, corny, tacky, or ridiculous, and is actually highly entertaining and funny." - post on IMDB

"STARDUST was rated Very Offensive at the Christian Spotlight website, while the Catholic Bishops Conference seem to find it less so (while warning of both implied premarital sex and a character born out of wedlock as a result of said implied premarital sex)." - from Stardust author's blog at http://www.neilgaiman.com/journal/2007/08/some-of-things-ill-miss.html

Well, I signed up for Netflix for a month to rent some movies that have that Blockbuster doesn't. Their "watch now online" movies are pretty cool, I got to see the sequels to Sleepaway Camp and see I didn't like them as much as the original. So, I think everyone should see this one. Word is Tom Cruise dropped out, glory be.

Westerns haven't really been my thing, the only ones I remember enjoying were the bubble-gum 80s variety like Bad Girls and Young Guns (watch the peyote trip - Didja see the size of that chicken?). But this has Christian Bale and Russell Crowe, (and it looked like Jude Law was in the trailer, but that was Ben Foster). Variety has a good description and review here. This is a remake, and I plan to rent the original before this comes out.UPDATE: Well, certainly nobody looked like Jude Law in the actual movie! The original was good, and this remake was better, and has differences, so don't worry about the original ruining the new movie for you beforehand.

CRITICAL CONSENSUS: The Bourne Ultimatum is an intelligent, finely tuned non-stop thrill ride, and the finest installment of the Bourne trilogy.

I certainly don't agree that this was the best of the three. The fight scenes were amazing, as usual. Due to my super-sized Diet Coke I had to hit the bathroom and I think I may have missed something between Jason & Nicky. At least I hope there was more between them than I saw. I was really tired when I saw this, but I think the story was a little thin.
