Pincurl results! Got nice, tight pincurls but I fingercombed them out a fair amount. I thought they were very West Side Story.

So the best part about short hair, something I completely forgot about when I cut it on a whim, is it's easier to do vintage hair! Today I woke up and decided it was Time to Remember This. I stuck the scarf over my head because pincurls look pretty ridiculous while they're setting. I'm not used to seeing my hair so flat because I LOVE BIG HAIR, so I kept my bangs out to do some spitcurls so I wouldn't look like I had chemo.

I want to get in the habit of regular blogazining, so I figured I'd use my silly Halloween post as a jumping off point and I actually done did my whole face up so I could post my Telescopic Explosion review. So today's the big day. As usual, a cat busts in on my picture.

So I am a dope and couldn't find/didn't get any shots of my Halloween costume in action. But the waist up was the more important part, anyway, so I figured why not post a crappy Photobooth picture of that. And why not post it really long after Halloween. Sure.

The face paint is Wet 'n' Wild Fantasy Makers Body Color. Surprisingly good quality, so I bought every color I could find. I am still cursing everyone who bought up all the Illamasqua white foundation at Sephora, but the Fantasy Makers worked fine and was way cheaper. Hooray!

I made the collar (and matching wristlets which you can't see) out of an embroidered Tahari shirt. It's okay, it had stains on it! I paired it with this Forever 21 skirt and a longer netted underskirt with exposed seams and rough edges from some random Japanese brand.

I had great fun, hope you all did, too.

My walls are empty (except for the Depeche Mode poster visible in these photos), my camera battery chargers are packed who-knows-where, I'm running out of clothes that aren't packed, and I still don't know where I'll be living in a month. Pre-Fourth of July celebration at Nassau Coliseum, nothing but an iPhone to hold memories. We were in the fall zone so there was a lot of smoke and fireworks bits kept falling on us, but we had fun. I bought the shoes on the 2nd and, of course, HAD to wear them the very next day. They're very similar to the Steve Maddens stellastylista posted in her Splurge v. Steal styleboard.
