  • What I Wore Wednesday- Kittens in Mittens

     This is what today's What I Wore Wednesday looks like...  I will admit these pictures were not taken today, but it IS the same outfit, if I can even call it that. Hah! I look considerably less healthy today, with no makeup and hair a mess- Yesterday I had to go early morning into Urgent Care with a pretty severe kidney infection and get some bloodwork and IV's done. I was a sick little kitten!
    I'm feeling so much better today, but still weak and very tired, so I'm just lounging around in my jammies for a while until I can muster up the energy to put some lipstick on and some appropriate clothes to run to the grocery store. 

    Santa brought me these cute jammies a little early for Christmas... and I'm in love. Totally obsessed and I never want to take them off. They are from Target and have little kittens cuddled up in winter mittens. They are so cute, and um. Cats. Yes. <3

    When hubs and I went outside to photograph this outfit, he told me I looked like a dirty 80's girl. Was I wrong to take that as a compliment? This outfit is a little laid back, a little dressed up, a little girly and a little grungy. I feel very "me" in it, and very comfortable. I also love this shirt and think of it fondly as the best 5 dollars I've maybe ever spent.

     Hmmm, looking back on this outfit I'm just not sure I like the cardigan tied... what do you guys think? Should I leave it tied or just wear it loose?

  • What I'm Wearing- Birthday Dress

    My mommy got me this fabulous dress for my birthday- I was so excited to get it in the mail! It fits like an absolute dream. It's really more of a summer/spring dress, but I was so excited about it that I just had to figure out how I could get away with wearing it in the cooler fall weather! Do you think it works? I wish I would have worn heels to make me just a touch taller, but alas- flats are so much more comfortable ;)

  • What I Wore Wednesday- Renaissance Festival

    For my birthday, Lucas surprised me by taking me to one of my very favorite places- the Renaissance Festival! I used to work as a garland girl at the Colorado Renaissance Festival for my summer job, and the festival held my heart since I was a little girl. The smells of turkey legs and dirt and beer- elephants and roasted sugared almonds- it all transports me back home. I didn't even realize that we had a fair nearby this time of year, so it was a wonderful surprise to find out where we were going! I got all dressed up in my garb I still had from my job at the faire- I love dressing up in Medieval costume!

  • What I Wore Wednesday- Ruffles

    I'm finally feeling better after a good week of a flu/cold type bug that was going around, thank goodness!

    This is just a casual outfit I'm wearing about to do some errands today- it's my birthday on Friday, so I am going grocery shopping for some ingredients to make a fun treat for myself! Also, I'm going to the craft store to get a few things for fall projects to make.

    These shoes are so killer though- as in they KILL my feet- I'm going to have to switch them out before I do my grocery shopping to something a little more wearable. It's a bit of a shame, because I'm totally in love with these, but I topple around like an awkward little penguin and after only 20 minutes of wear, I already have the beginnings of blisters on my feet. Yikes!  

    Anyway, I've got to get to my daily errands, but I hope you all have a marvelous day :)
