My Happy, Girly, and Sexy Scents -- Current Faves

(Drum roll please!) Taddaaaaa!!! Presenting my current favorite scents: Buttery Flower Fragrant Waters from Bath and Body Works, Inspire from Marks and Spencer, and Red Jeans from Versace. I still have a lot of favorite perfumes or scents like Clinique Happy, Yellow Jeans by Versace, Love Spell from VS, Charlie (when I was younger), Tribu by UCB, Just Me - Paris Hilton scents, Lacoste Touch of Pink, Juicy Berry - DKNY, Red Door by Elizabeth Arden, and a lot more! But for now, I'd tell you first my current faves and why I like them. <3

Buttery Flower has a light, delicate scent. Others say it smells like flowers, others say oranges or tangerines. But I say, it smells good! It is my HAPPY scent. I spray it on me and it relaxes me instantly. I wear this when I go shopping, eat out with friends, drive around, or when I am doing things that I like.

*As read from the bottle, "to create this brighter, summer-inspired version our exclusive Buttery Flower, master perfumers have brightened the top notes with crisp citrus cologne and sparkling green tea."

My GIRLY scent, Inspire, on the other hand, would make you feel as if you are in the land of romance. It is also light and refreshing. I really like wearing floral scents just like Inspire when I go out with my boyfriend or when I am wearing dresses, or when I am feeling girly and cute.

*From the box it reads, "this scintillating fragrance combines top notes of pepper and purple freesia accords. In the middle white heliotrope and and jasmine accords go beautifully with hibiscus blossom and rose. Precious cedarwood and sandalwood create a delicate base fragrance, which expresses the essence of feminine beauty."

Red Jeans is my SEXY scent. I wear this when I go out at night or when I attend parties. I don't need to spray it again and again since the smells lasts long.

*Launched by the design house of Gianni Versace in 1994, RED JEANS is classified as a sharp, flowery fragrance. This feminine scent possesses a blend of jasmine, vanilla, musk, sandalwood and lily.

And you, what's your favorite scent? ;-)

In Search for the Little Black Dress

Margaux Lace Dress www.trashydiva.com Twilight Dress
Every girl or woman needs a black dress. That's the rule that no one, I mean, no one should deviate from. Who put up the rule? I've got no clue but it's fun abiding by it. It is one of the basic clothing articles that should be found in one's closet.

The question is: do I have one? Uh-oh. Please don't call the fashion police.

I am now in the process of scouring for one, or two. Yeah, I had black dresses before, some of which have been discarded, while others died a natural death.

In the hope of finding that perfect black dress to add up to my wardrobe, I selected three dresses, which I am not necessarily buying (blame my location), as inspiration or samples of what style should I buy or what kind should I look for when I shop.

First love: Margaux Lace Dress - Evita, is that you? Being an Evita-holic, I chose this dress because it reminds of the type of dresses that Madonna wore in the movie Evita. It is sexy, yes, but it still exudes power. It says "look at me, I am beautiful" but then again it also says "be careful, I am not who you think I am" kind of thing.

Second place: a dress from TrashyDiva.com - This dress is so Audrey Hepburn. Classic and sophisticated. It is something that you can wear over and over again without being noticed that you did since you can accessorize it. You put over a coat one day, and a shawl the week after, and so on.

Third choice: Twilight Dress - This is what I call the "Date Dress." It is not too showy but it is still sexy. It will not show too much of your skin but still hugs on the body and shows your curves. All you need is man and you're good to go.

But I will not stop with these three dresses. There are more, I know, a hundred more variations. This is so exciting! The search is not over ‘til it's over. <3
