I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas :)  I'm like a kid when it comes to this holiday haha.  Sorry for the weird pictures, I was in a hurry.  And yes, I am holding a stocking full of every junk food imaginable (oh, and an orange).  Here's what I wore to Christmas dinner with my mom's family:
Cardigan- Nordstrom
Tank- Forever 21
Jeans- Pacsun
Booties (not pictured)- Target
Necklace (gift)- Urban Outfitters

Since some kaboodler are sharing what they got, I thought I would too (I'm not trying to showing off).  My parents really outdid themselves this year :)
From Mom & Dad:

- Grandpa's pocket watch necklace (picture 3)
- Sephora Brand Makeup To Go Palette in warm tones
- Rosebud Perfume Co. three lavish layers of lip balm set
- Lippmann Collection nail color in Happy Birthday
- OPI nail color in Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow (pic 3)
- $15 iTunes giftcard
- $15 Starbucks giftcard
From my sister:
- the Cliquetionary (as a joke, lol thanks sis!)
- $10 iTunes giftcard
From my relatives:
- 365 Days in France calendar
- $15
- an old lady gift basket
- an very large amount of money that will go straight to savings (thanks, Grandma! :)

So, have a happy New Year's! And post what you got this year :)

The first pic is obviously my tree- it was my sister's year to decorate althoug my mom did most of it :/ its one hot mess, I must say.  Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, and I couldn't be more excited.  Christmas is my favorite thing in the whole world :)  I still don't have all of my gifts, and neither does anyone else in my family haha, but the rushing is what makes in Christmas.  Since Christmas is a time of giving, I thought I'd share the recipe for my favorite persimmon cookies (thanks Grandma!):
Ingredients:
1 C sugar
1/2 C margarine
1 egg
1 C persimmon
1 t baking soda
2 C flour
1/2 t salt
1/2 t cinnamon
1/4 t cloves
1/4 t nutmeg
Directions:
1) Blend persimmon with 1 t baking soda until pulp
2) Mix sugar, egg, margarine, and persimmon in one bowl.  Mix all other dry ingredients in another bowl.  Mix both bowls, then combine the contents.
3) Drop the batter by spoonful onto a greased cookie sheet (you'll probably need two of these) and bake in the oven at 350° for about 12 minutes.  They expand majorly in the oven :)
 Bon appetite!

The third picture is of my sister, her best friend who's pretty much my sister, and moi when we went to see the nutcracker ballet last Friday.  It turns out that Melissa from season 5 of So You Think You Can Dance was guest starring as the sugar plum fairy in some performances, but not the one we went to :( Oh well, we had an amazing time and I got to wear some of my favorite wardrobe pieces:
Cardigan- Nordstrom
Ruffled Tank- Nordstrom
Skirt- Forever 21
Ruffled Cluth- Nordstrom
Shoes & Tights- the usual ;)

I cannot wait for tomorrow; I honestly love Christmas Eve more than Christmas itself!  My family always wraps presents and does last minute shopping during the day, and in the evening, we go to our church's Christmas Eve service.  After that, we have our close frineds over for dinner (salmon, rice pilaf, asparagus, and much more yummy stuff) and we open presents when everyone is gone.  Christmas morning is for stockings and of course, the Disneyland parade:)

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and that "Santa" brings them some kick@$$ gifts! Lol, pardon my language.

Oh, Marc Jacobs, you never cease to amaze me. My favorite all time work of his would have to be the Louis Vuitton Fall 2009 Ready-to-Wear Collection.  The whimsical colors, the tulle, the bubble skirts, the gorgeous shoes... gaahh I could go on and on, but one of the biggest highlights of this show was definately the necklaces.  Hoolyyyy crap.  Gorgeous.  I've all been seeing them in pretty much every magazine out there, and while drooling over these peices may be fun for a while, I eventually get to the point where I must get one without breaking the bank.  That's when Forever 21 comes to the rescue :)  These gorgeous necklaces from Louis Vuitton are priced over $1000, but at Forever 21 you can get the same overall style for only $22.80.  Sure, it's not the same, but you can still make a statement (and no one has to know where you got it ;).  It would make a great gift for you or your fashionable friends this season, too. I hope you found this post helpful. Happy shopping! louis Vuitton

Jeez it's getting cold outside!  Here in California, everything is frozen, and its snowing about half an hour away from where I live.  Crazy, right? I hate cold weather, but I think snow would totally make it worth it :)  Ok, so I took these pics on days ago, but I have literally had no time to post them.  Haha, so here's what I wore on monday:
Dress- $13.50 Forever 21
Cardigan- $39 Nordstrom
Tights- Target

I just noticed that my posts have been severely lacking in accessories lately...I'll have to fix that :)

P.S.  They need to make december longer somehow, I am so behind on gifts and decorations!  Anyone else have this problem?

I played around with my hair today and thought I'd post some pics of the results.  My hair is super thin, but this style would work for any somewhat relaxed hair type :)  Just make three small braids in various places along the side of your head.  Gather the braids and loosely pin them to the back of head, et voila!  Fast, easy and almost effortless.  Hope tou get the chance to try it!

Have a fabulous week-end
