So this will likely date me but I used to be a Sephora fan before it was called Sephora, it was originally eve.com and I fell in love with the plethora of make-up and beauty items, millions of lovely little sparkles and trinkets. Over the years I have bought one of almost everything. I have used Beauty and Ulta but the appeal isn't the same.
I wonder what your thoughts are and where you make the majority of your cosmetics purchases from...

Not even a million words could take away the damage these photos caused to the price of these MLS listings.
I don't think anyone except for maybe the Adams' family cousin It would find the picture of the bathroom appealing.
And was the target market for the middle picture, of the bedroom, militia members?
The living room picture is a little more forgivable seeing as in the 80's this color scheme would have at least been appropriate. However, I think its way to Miami Vice for most home buyers today.
I am posting a poll to see which one people find the most unappealing, please vote!
And if you have any horrific pictures of homes for sale please share! -
Waiting for the the bank to accept your offer on a new home is ridiculous, remember the good old days when you went back and forth with a real home owner? Remember when you heard back from the bank within hours? Well long gone are the days of concessions. Fast closes to foreclosures. Equity to eviction. Who would have guessed. But I digress. Our newest home purchase (pending approval of course) leaves me feeling a little like a piranha stripping the meat off the bone of the poor home owner that got sucked in to this a.r.m. river. Of course you make excuses to make your cynical consumerism feel less carnivor-esque, I after all didn't give them a home they couldn't afford with a mortgage rate that no-one could afford. I didn't knowingly (or unknowingly) sign a contract I couldn't keep. I didn't raise rates, fire people, send notices, lose jobs, stop spending, increase unemployment. No that was lion banks and tiger corporations, stalking waiting hunting. I had no part of that. I am simply the vulcher picking off what the banks and creditors left behind. Which leaves me to ponder on who ultimately is to blame, who ultimately is driving the machine, and who ultimately is taking care of their neighbor as they would take care of themselves. Who is king of the jungle now?

I know we are all supposed to be cowering in our homes hoping for this gloomy economic depression to pass over us, quietly watching as more and more foreclosure signs pop up on our blocks. These are the days of learning to love, even to treasure what we do have. And despite these dark days, I say we treat our homes as they should be treated, after all are they not our castles.
I recently stumbled upon the SICIS website and viewed the most luxurious bling-a-licious rugs ever! They glimmer and glint and pick up the light in a million different and fascinating ways. These area rugs are like glass slippers for your home. Made in italy and guaranteed to fit any size foot, or square foot as the case may be, these are definately worth a look-see!

While they may not be competitive in price range with most rugs, they are cheaper than laying completely new flooring. And are definitely more mobile than most marble flooring. Homeowners and renters alike should appreciate that.
Enjoy and tell me what you think!
