There is almost never a day where I am not wearing nail polish. I have a full box of different colors and shades. But the colors/shades that I am obsessing over right now are...
Soft green
Colors that really pop
Metallic Colors

What about you guys?

Read this post if you are interested in jobs in the fashion industry-if not you are welcome to but do not have to.

As I have mentioned in my previous post, I received the Teen Vogue Handbook for Christmas. Another thing from this wonderful book (that I would highly recommend getting for those of you that want to know more) that I wanted to share is about getting jobs into the fashion world, whether it be modeling, designing, editing, photographing, or being a makeup artist. The biggest step in this career is getting into it-getting known. The best way to get your foot in the door and to learn (besides stuff from design school etc.) is to become an intern. Interns such as Dylan Kawahara and Lee Anderson are interns as well as students at Parsons The New School For Design. So it is possible to do both. One of my first questions after reading this is what exactly does an intern do? Well it all depends on where you work. But Lee Anderson that is in intern for Panichugul says, "My duties change daily, but they include research, sourcing, getting fabrics and trims from factories, working with samples and pattern-makers, and discussing finishings-the little decisions about the garments, which is one of my favorite parts. Working at a small company allows me a more hands-on view of the business than I would get if I worked at a big house. I see every angle, even if it's just through conversation with salespeople or the accounting team. And I've been here quite a while, so I've been able to watch the brand progress."<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

I first came across of Thakoon in The Teen Vogue Handbook (that I got for Christmas). I fell in love with his creations and felt that I just had to share. The three pictured looks are from his Spring 2010 Ready-to-Wear collection.

"You'd be hard pressed to find a more unassuming designer than Thakoon Panichgul. He might not be in it for the spotlight, but he can't seem to escape the high beams. Not only has he received Michelle Obama's blessing, he also landed a cameo in The September Issue. Oh, and did we mention that Amanda Brooks and co. can't seem to leave home without his label on their backs? "Thakoon is just so easy to wear," Elettra Wiedemann was heard enthusing to a friend at the show today.

It certainly wasn't hard to take a shine to Panichgul's Spring lineup, which included lots of the crowd-pleasing print dresses that have become his signature. Some of them felt a little bit like sequels—but there were new ideas here: strains of Japonisme in the kimono cuts and so-called ninja pants, a scuba-inflected athleticism in the techno-twill seamed pants, and armoring (though some of the shield dresses looked a bit, well, stiff).

Most interesting was the manner in which Panichgul carried forward and developed concepts from his romantic and wildly popular Resort collection. The plissé pleats that had fabulously swelled like soufflés for pre-collection were controlled for Spring, as Panichgul married this surface treatment to the soft bondage that he's toyed with before. "I wanted to evoke loose and tight together," Panichgul explained, "sometimes in one silhouette." The upshot? Another guaranteed season at center stage."

We all know Emma Watson who plays Hermione in all Harry Potter movies, but what some of us do not know or just found out is that she has an amazing sense of style.

"Emma Watson's transformation from gawky drama student to fashion's newest darling has been nothing short of magical. The 19-year-old Brit first caught the world's attention as Hermione in the hugely successful Harry Potter franchise, of course, but it's her daring yet sophisticated personal style that sets her apart from the PYT pack. She's told Teen Vogue that she opts not to use stylists because "there's nothing interesting about looking perfect." Perhaps so, but in the last couple of months she's been photographed looking all but perfect in fresh-from-the-runway Rodarte and Proenza Schouler, as well as, most recently, vintage Ossie Clark."
