center for agroecology (farm)

47 ›
if you are ever in the santa cruz, ca area, you should totally go to the university and check out the organic farm. its free and pretty and has a great view! the volunteers who help with the fields and such live in "teepees" (really, just tents) on the land, one: its cheaper than trying to rent while you work there, and two: it ties into the whole crunchy/organicness of the place. plus there are great jogging and biking trails and lots of trees. also, very kid friendly, lots of little huts constructed from live plants (pic three, this was actually a tunnel that led to a larger "hut").

What I usually wear...

I love clothes, but my outfits are very simple. Tee with some kind of print or saying (usually food related), belt, pants/jeans of some sort, and throw on a cardigan and I'm good to go.

For shirts, I was getting them mainly from delias and the occasional grab bag sale from cotton factory, but my bf has turned me onto tshirt woot which is totally awesome. Tees for ten bucks AND free shipping? Hell yes.

My outfit here, the tee and pants are from delias (delias has a myriad of inseams which is fantastic) and the belt from fossil. I'm a shortie and a lazie so I'm not going to buy clothes then get them altered so I prefer to just buy them the appropriate size to begin with, which is limiting because a tiny fit with a 30 inch inseam is hard to come by.

So creativity on my clothing, a zero. Where I think I should get the creativity point is how I took this photo. One cordless mouse in hand not in the photo and one webcam hanging from a ceiling fan.

My little sis and me out and about...

First photo: my sister LOVES to skate so much. i can (kinda) skate, but she is as comfortable skating as she is walking, maybe even more so.

my outfit:
  • shrug: victoria secret
  • tee: hollister
  • skinny jeans: hollister
her outfit... most likely jcpennys (theres a store very close to my parents house so my mom takes her there almost always)

Second photo: we were having dinner with our parents and decided to be silly. this photo was actually taken by some stranger from another table. haha! i love getting other people involved.

my outfit:
  • jacket: mervyns
  • pants: delias
her outfit: not one of her better ones... haha.

Third photo: out to eat downtown. my younger brother took this photo.

my outfit:
  • coat: victoria secret
  • skirt: ebay
  • shoes: steve madden
  • purse: overstock
  • tank: hollister
her outfit: again, i really think this was from jcpennys again! at least when she shops with me, i take her to other places... not that there is anything wrong with jcpenny, theres just a limited type of style there. these photos were actually taken awhile ago, before her interest in clothes took place.

What My Little Sister Wears

18 ›

I think my younger sis has a cute style. Unfortunately since I don't live with her, I don't get the opportunity to take photos when she is dressed for school, because she takes greater care in her complete look for that.

These are three shots of her on some day off or another.

First photo: The top I know is from JC Pennys, so I think the pants are too. Thats the puppy we found one day when we went for a walk. He is so cute! We actually found him when he was much smaller, but he doesn't seem to notice that he's grown...

Second photo: The pink top is from victoria secret, the yellow dress is from ebay and the shoes are from delias. My sister has this thing for chickens, though one of my moms cats is using the hutch here.

Third photo: This is more of how she dresses for school minus makeup. We had just gone shopping and she wanted to try things on at my apartment.
  • hat: urbn
  • jacket: wetseal
  • dress: urbn
  • socks: urbn
  • shoes: payless
I really, really liked this outfit. I think its super cute. She loves clothes as much as I do, but she actually is much more creative in her outfits.

What I wear when I work out...

8 ›
Jan 4, 2009 in Fashion
My hair was being especially crazy this day, so I just half combed it and then twisted it into two tufts.

My outfit:
  • nike sportsbra: which smooshes my chest down to a very sexy a cup.
  • victoria secret yoga pants: these come in an extra small and a 30 inch inseam AND hug my body instead of hanging limply giving me flat butt... (yes i will blame pants for that)
  • nike shoes: got these off of zappos, very supportive compared to my converse I normally wear. these are my first actual real exercise footwear. go me.

Yes yes, even skinny people need to work out. Heart health people! And I am so out of shape because five minutes watching my bf play rockband while I'm on the elliptical makes me flop back down on the couch in my usual slump vowing I'll do at least five more minutes later after I finish eating more than my share of saturated fat and high fructose corn syrup thats in all the food I like to eat.
