So it's officially Spring which means shorts, skirts and floral prints! I've had this skirt for a couple weeks now, but haven't had the chance to wear it. I finally woke up to sunshine this morning and for once on this rare occasion knew what I was going to wear.
I can't wait for sunny weather so I can go hiking, picnic, frolick on the beach and anything that can be done in the great outdoors! Sunshine makes me happy :)
Here's what I'm wearing:
Skirt: Free People
Top: Joie
Sweater: Vince
Shoes: Tory Burch
Purse: Chanel

Happy one-day-late Valentine's Day everyone! I hope you guys had a whole day filled with hugs, kisses, flowers, chocolates and more!
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I spent last weekend on a DIY project inspired by this top I saw on ModCloth. I wasn't too fond of the idea that the ModCloth top is so cropped, so I took one of my favorite basic shirts and created my own. Here's how I did it (I wish I had pictures to show, but hopefully my words will do):
1. Print out a heart-shape template (whatever size you want your heart to be)
2. Cut a long piece of fabric in the color you want and one that won't fray (I used jersey)
3. Fold the strip of fabric so you have 2-4 layers (I chose 4 for more fringe) and sew it all the way down on one edge
4. Cut little slits all the way down to create fringe
5. Pin the fabric around the heart template
6. Sew the heart onto your shirt!
It's a little late to wear your shirt for Valentine's Day, but who says you can't wear hearts anytime of the year! Happy crafting :) -
It's Monday and the weather is so bipolar these days, I don't know if I'll need a huge fur coat or a tank top. My solution to this indecisive global warming situation is layers. Here I layered my favorite anchor-print tank, normally my summer staple, with a plaid shirt and purple cardi, making my look more suitable for winter.

I fell in love with this leopard print velour top the second I saw it. At first I was a little bit hesitant about what I would wear it with, but now I am fully convinced that leopard print goes with everything! Today I paired it with my military green crops and desert wedges without the intention of looking like I was about to embark on some sort of safari..

Florals are an obvious outfit pick for spring, but instead of retiring my skirt until next year, I paired it with my beloved waffle thermal sweater in the middle of November. I've only had this sweater for two weeks now and I've worn it in almost every different outfit combination in my closet!
Top: J. Crew
Sweater: Vince
Skirt: Patterson J. Kincaid
Shoes: Kimchi Blue

It's November, which means rainy nights and freezing cold mornings, making it nearly impossible to get myself out of bed let alone dressed in something worthy of posting. I opted for a sweatshirt to pull over my storm-colored, tie-dye maxi dress and accessorized with a belt to add a little something to what otherwise would be a frumpy pullover. And to complete my look, the shoes were a no brainer. My Boutique 9 ankle boots are my current go-to's and look good with pretty much everything in my closet!

Dress: Metropark
Belt: Anthropologie
