Off to rehearsal with the theater company. We're doing Antigone. My part is quite small, but being involved with such amazing, seasoned people is really cool.
I'm always a bit intimidated because the other theater-people are older, experienced, professional actors who have been in so many shows, movies, etc. I find dressing up a little bit makes me a touch more confident, especially as they all have such great style (granted, they have the "oh, this old thing? I just rolled out of bed looking this naturally fabulous"-look going on).
Dress: Fresh Karma (got it from Planet Blue in Santa Monica in 2007)
Tights:Target
Belt: Forever 21
Boots: Anthropologie
I couldn't seem to get everything in one shot. My camera is too small/bad, and my legs are too tall. Also I swear The skirt goes long, I just have freakishly long femurs/thighs!
Note on pictures: I had someone comment that my pictures are small and dark. I apologize. The lighting is terrible in my dorm room and the only camera I have is my Macbook photobooth :)

Swiped from my facebook account, these are pictures from my Senior Prom. I'm the one in the blue on the left. My dress was from a Betsey Johnson outlet, and is a beautiful piece of art without being overly flashy (or at least I think so, I still love it)
It's entirely silk with beading at the bodice.
The pictures were taken at my house in 2007. I can't believe it was so long ago!
The guy on the right in the center picture was my best friend and prom date.
We took a classic stairs picture with the whole group. It was just too cliche to pass up :)

Stupid Hat?

So,
I got this hat for my birthday, and I tend to think I look bad in the loose beret hats. A lot of people can pull them off, but I can't really. My mom and sister seem to think I can, and they know I adore sequins, so they got me this hat. Upon telling my boyfriend I wasn't exactly sure about this hat and thought I would return it and asking his opinion, he told me it was awful. It is now affectionately known as "Stupid Hat".
Lots of time has passed since my birthday and the christening of "Stupid Hat", and I think it's been too long to return it. Now, my sister still insists I look good in these things, and my boyfriend still disagrees.
What say you, Kaboodle Nation? Is @zeeblee right? Is it a stupid hat? I'm really not sure...

On September 24th, my close friend's little sister, Guru Simran passed away. She had a mysterious brain tumor that arose suddenly last January. She was a beautiful and vibrant 14 years old. I'd known her since we were both tiny. I adored her and called her my darling little one. She brought an incredible light into the lives of everyone she met, in a way I'd never seen before.
My dear friend Guru Parkash designs jewelry (at only 20!) and made this beautiful bracelet in honor of her beloved little sister. Her nickname was Gusoo, and everyone called her little angel.
The above picture is my friend modeling the "Gusoo bracelet" which I think is absolutely beautiful
Official Information:
Guru Simran's sister, Guru Parkash has designed a "Gusoo bracelet" in honor of Guru Simran. It is made of 4 strands of 14 kt. gold braided with 2 stands of colorful silk with a diamond covered gold angel wing charm. 5 % of the proceeds with go to the Guru Simran Kaur Khalsa Foundation to raise funds for Children and Teens to be fed, have the opportunity to do yoga, and play basketball.
You can get the"Gusoo bracelet" from Guru Parkash directly.
(310)433-3885. They are $390.
(My note: the other 95% goes to the family which is recovering from 9months of hospital stays and medical bills)
I know you guys like beautiful pieces, so I thought I'd share one that's very close to my heart.

The end has come. The boyfriend is now on Kaboodle. That's right, a Kaboodle couple, if you will.
After showing him all my lists, I have created a monster. This assures we will never get any work done.
The addiction spreads. No one is safe.
