I admit this trend isn't for everyone. I find it a bit unforgiving, but there are some silhouettes where these work. Think more long and lean. It's also nice to have an alternative to shorts during the hot summer months. I like it paired with a skinny belt and flats. You're also going to see some hot pants, but they are really hard to pull off at work.

Silk is one of my favorite materials, so I do love that aspects of this trend. However, like the techno fabrics trend this does have a very 80s inspired feel to it. It's also one of those looks that can go from put together (slouchy) to just rolled out of bed (sloppy) when done wrong. This is another Fashion Trends You'll Be Wearing (and Loving) in 2010 from the Lucky Magazine blog. The great thing about this trend is the comfort level of almost any piece that encompasses this trend.

This trend proves that in the Spring time, white isn't just for brides. I love how the LWD aka Little White Dress make a statement without being a bold color that could go out of style. This is one of the Spring trends from nymag.com.

At this time of year, stores aren't really pushing any new trends, but as usual the runway gives us a sneak peek into what we should expect to see in the coming months. Lucky Magazine's blog highlighted some of these trends in Fashion Trends You'll Be Wearing (and Loving) in 2010. Like this column, Lucky doesn't just focus on identifying trends, but also identifying trends that translate to clothes for the everyday fashionista. I also like the idea of updating your wardrobe with a few key pieces that will make your wardrobe look more up-to-date. Trends are fun to follow, but you should always wear clothes that work for you, not just what's in fashion. With that in mind, the first trend that the folks at Lucky Magazine are talking about is sheer clothing.

Here's another trend from the Lucky Magazine's blog article- Fashion Trends You'll Be Wearing (and Loving) in 2010 - graphic black and white. Black and white as a color combination isn't just timeless, but very easy to wear. You may already have lots of black and white in your closet, but how many have you actually put together as outfits. I see a lot of women wear all black and the reality is that they underestimate how different textures/materials of black and even how dark the black is can make your go-to-outfit, not so great anymore. Think about plaids, stripes, polka dots, florals, whatever pattern appeals to you the most.

We've talked about various body types, but sometimes the problem isn't what to wear with you overall silhouette. Everybody (yes, even guys) has parts of their body they aren't thrilled about. This could range from a one pack rather than a six pack to a long torso. We are going to provide different suggestions for as many of these problem areas as we can think of. We have to start somewhere, so why not flabby arms. Sometimes called wings or even flaps. This is a problem area that seems to crop up as you exercise less and sometimes just because your skin has lost some of its elasticity. Keep in mind that the real solution isn't clothes that hide or de-emphasize the flabbiness of your arms, but rather exercises to tone your arms.
What to Wear:- 3/4 sleeve tops are a great way to have some level of coverage, but since they end right past the elbow they conceal the largest part of your arm.
- Tops with bell sleeves are narrow up on the top part of your arm and then get wider until they form a bell shape to help balance larger upper arms. Bat sleeves depending on their cut can also be flattering.
- Vertical stripes on the sleeve of a blouse can have a slimming effect on your arms.
- If you do wear a tank top, consider pairing it with a see through blouse or a cardigan.
- It's hard to find evening wear that isn't sleeveless or strapless. Consider a pashmina, shawl or scarf draped over your shoulders. If you do find something with sleeves, make sure it doesn't look matronly.
What to Avoid:- Tank tops, camisoles and other sleeveless tops
- Tops that are tight or snug in the sleeves and/ or made of materials that tend to be form fitting like lycra.
- Cap sleeves are tricky as they can draw attention to the largest part of your arm depending on where they end.
