Actually it really depends on what you want to use the camera for. If you want high performance, quality etc. I'd go with this one, the Cannon Powershot, if you want something less "complicated" so to speak then I'd go with the straight shot Ixus 70. Me personally, I'd chose the Powershot s400 but in all honesty I prefer the good ol' fashioned SLR cameras where you have to do all the work for that perfect shot. But that's because I took Photography in High School and made it as a yearbook/staff photographer. *smile*

You'll get better quality photos out of this one. 7.1 megapixels is much much much better quality than 4 megapixels. 4 megapixels is a little better than camera phone quality.
