  • UPDATE:6/1/07:We will all be walking in the Breast Cancer 3-Day here in Seattle this coming Sept.(7,8,9th). Hopefully raising our membership up to ~500 members, all raising ~$2100 each, the check we could be presenting to them will be ~$1.2 mil!! Imagine how great that could be! If you would like/want/have a desire to volunteer some of YOUR time then please send an email to:
    director@nwwomens500.org
For our mission statement/introduction go to nwwomen500.org (notice there is no 's' after women at this web site address because it's our construction site if you will, where we all work on how our main site will look w/out messing the main one up!) Our real site is located at nwwomens500.org –it’s not finished yet but the front page is attractive. Any web designers out there??
If you have ever felt like giving and/or volunteering and writing out a check 'at the office' isn't really doing it for you
YET you want your time, effort and dedication to really count for something
AND you want to feel a part of something really big and very worthwhile
AND you want to know that you ARE making a real difference in a needy child's, woman's or animals life for the better
THEN: JOIN US RIGHT NOW-it's free! *
    Kiki
*As we continue to grow we may be asking for small donations-tax deductible- for general office and other supplies we may need. ($25 or so)

  • Hi All! I am now in the process of starting up a non-profit group dedicated to helping women and children nationally. We are called the "NW Women's 500 Org/Fund" which I hope will become very successful. We will be helping charities do their fundraisers in any way we can in order for it to be a huge success. With so many members/volunteers all grouped into chapters by area we will hopefully have a huge volunteer base.

  • UPDATE:2/06:My daughter wanted a cockatiel so we obliged...and then "he was so lonely" so we got him a friend...turned out to be a very friendly female friend...6/06:laid eggs...now we have 5 cockatiels!! 7/06:Only dad and the 3 babies now-poor mommy died 2 weeks after laying eggs from eating some wild bird food. :( I had to hand feed them for months-that was fun (and tedious) but I felt so sorry for them.
UPDATE:2/07:Babies are now all grown up, beautiful and really need a home. So, please, if you live around here drop me an email; only $50-$75 instead of $150 -$200 at Petco or a breeder! (Cage too) They are stunning and sing beautifully.
