OMFG! "New Moon" did not dissapoint!!! I have a sore throat from the screaming, and dark circles under my eyes, but I'm also still wired from the movie, not to mention I dreamt of the Cullens and the Wolfpack. Watching New Moon on opening night is the gift that keeps on giving! And let me tell you, this movie was wayy, 10x better even then Twilight.
Should you drag your boyfriend along? Absolutely! There is enough action in it to keep him happy, and there is not a dull moment in the movie.
Is it just like the book New Moon by Stephenie Meyer? No, maybe it's better. But that's just my opinion. The movie does skip over some things, but I personally have read the book 4x - I didn't miss it! As I said, I was NOT dissapointed. Let me put it this way... if Twilight or the last HP: OOTP dissapointed you, New Moon is better then both of those put together. *Just don't go expecting to see the entire book played on screen. It's all good people!
Michael Sheen as "Aro" was bloody brilliant! I mean really, at first when I saw who was playing the part I was a bit nervous, but he made that character! To me, he played the character right on, just like in the book.
Dakota Fanning as "Jane"; I want to see more of her!!! She was cute and pretty, and pure evil. I love her and can't wait to see her some more during Eclipse next year.
Rachelle Lefevre as "Victoria"; IMHO she was more creepy then Jane. I've seen some pretty messed up crap in my life, but I'd hate to run into her in the middle of the woods or in the water. Forget Jaws - watch out for Victoria. But gosh... as some of you may already know, and sorry for those who don't... Rachelle is being replaced by another actress in Eclipse. Noooooo! As Aro would say, "Such a waste!"
Ashlee Greene as "Allice Cullen" still steals my heart. Beautiful and witty, and though does not play a huge role in the movie, she is unforgettable, I think it's safe to say that Alice is still my favorite charcter.
Jackson Rathbone as "Jasper Hale"; I was very dissapointed that we didn't get to see much of him in the movie, and seemed to be the only one who didn't get to take his shirt off in the freaking movie. What is up with that? Can't wait for Eclipse though, where we'll get to see him in uniform. Jackson - you can bite me anytime baby!
And finally... Taylor Lautner as "Jacob"; Wow! Most girls will talk about what a hottie he is, and his tight abs, blah-blah. Forget that! Coming from someone who is not only Team Edward, but so Anti-Jacob that I loathe the character more then the Volturi... he was amazing in the movie. I actually almost cried for Jacob. My heart ached for him. Taylor... I'm glad you kept the role of Jaocb. it wouldn't have been right without you.
So, that's it. Sorry it was such a long review, but I had to let out all of my emotions before I explode! And yes, I think I will go and watch New Moon again. It wasn't so bad going by myself. I got to meet other Twi-hards and Twerds, and Twi-Moms, etc. They were awesome! But a little advice... stay away from those Team Jacob fans! They're scary. ;-)

**WARNING!!! May Contain Spoilers!!!
ONE MORE WEEK!!! w00t!
So, just out of curiosity, who here is as crazy as I am and going to the midnight showing of New Moon?
I unfortunately will be going by myself this year, but it is sooo worth it! The movie theater where I'm viewing the movie is going to have a birthday party for "Bella", and I hope it's just as disastrous as in the book. Hmm... I wonder what kind of cake they'll serve? Hopefully delicious and bloody, but minus the shards of glass.
Also, I wanted so badly to dress up for the movie, but it looks like it's not going to happen. Totally bites [pun intended]! Nonetheless, I will be there with the massive hordes of screaming teenage girls, and I will have a blast for sure!
Go Team Volt-errr, I mean
Go Team Jasper!!!! ;D

HELP! I am in desperate need of a DVD Repairer STAT! The husband and I have no cable or satellite t.v., rather we have tons of DVDs, and some CDs that we can no longer enjoy because of scratches. [[grumble]]
It is completely out of the question to replace them all with new ones. We'd never be able to replace them all - we have a huge collection! So, we're looking for something to repair them with.
My question is this: Have any of you ever bought one of these things and does it really work?
I'd love to hear your honest opinions and reviews. Thanks a ton!

Help Me Choose!
lady_arndt asks, Country Kitchen, Retro Kitchen OR combination of Both? I love them both - and I can't decide. HELP!!!
Like Donny & Marie's song.. I'm a little bit country and a little bit rock n' roll, and dammit, I can't choose which style I want for my kitchen!!!
My husband thinks I will get tired of the retro look, and well, he has been married to me for 7-years, so maybe he's right. But I love both looks, and I've been contemplating mixing both together somehow.
What do you think? Country, Retro, or a combination? If both, how would you design it??
Comment, help me by creating a styleboard of your version. any help will be welcome and appreciated. Thanks in advance for putting up with my crazy rant.
OBTW: Here are my retro and country styleboards...

Men always seem to be made fun of, to be taken for granted, and they have only one day out of the year when they are shown appreciation. They are usually portrayed as dumb or lazy on popular t.v. shows or a burden to the womn in their lives.
So help me paint a different picture.
Of course there are other men in my life who have inspired me and helped to make me the woman I am today. But this is about the two and a half men most important in my life...
My father, he taught me the value of hardwork and to never, ever let anyone push me around. He taught me to always stand up for myself and the things I believe, even if it's not always popular. He taught me to be strong and independent, but also to be humble and to give my love freely, even if there was a risk for a broken heart.
My husband, who pulled me out of a dark time in my life. He taught me that I am much more than my mistakes. He taught me to not beat myself up, and to continue moving forward. He has taught me to not give up, and taught me to push myself further. He has helped improve my spiritual and emotional well-being. I know he'll always be there to catch me when I slip or fall, but he won't allow for me to be dead weight either. He'll always encourage me to do my part.
My son... before him, I had an excruciatingly painful void in my heart. He has taught me that there is always room for more love, and though it may feel like it, my heart will not explode from it. He has taught me to love even more than I could have dreamed, and when I look into his eyes, when I watch him smile, hear him laugh, I know for a surety that there is good left in this world. There is not a doubt in my mind that he is pure and loving, and this little angel loves me right back and accepts me completely, flaws included.
So who are the most important men in your life and why?
