Personals
How tall are you?

5'6.75 (though I always say 5'7!

What is your shoe size?
I think my feet are the 8th wonder of the world ... I can go anywhere from a 7.5 to a 9 depending on the shoe type and brand. It's very annoying! And makes it impossible to buy shoes online.

What color is your hair?
Chocolatey brown. (Went blonde in college -- big mistake!)

What is your ethnicity?
White (Italian/Irish combo)

What country do you live in?
The States, Virginia to be exact

Styles
What is your favorite online shopping website?

Kaboodle is my #1 of course, but I've got a mild obsession with shopstyle.com for browsing.

What would you describe your style as?
Well-accessorized comfy casual. I love anything jersey but it's got to have some charm to it. I jazz everything up with scarves, earrings, metallic shoes & bags (I'm sort of an accessory whore).

What is your favorite shoe style?
Flats of any kind! Ballet, open toe, sandals, flops. My boyfriend and I are the exact same height making it tricky to wear heels (but even if I could, they're not my favorite).

Lists
Which list would you say you add to the most?

Definitely "Beauty Lusts!"

Which list is your personal favorite?
I love all of my lists and love adding to them, organizing them, creating new spin-offs, etc. I really like my 10 Recent Purchases & 10 Recent Beauty Buys Lists.

Favorites
What is your favorite food?

Caesar Salad. I could eat it three meals a day for life.

What is your favorite drink?
Sauvignon Blanc

What is your favorite color?
I am a color freak. Do I have to pick one? Hmmm ok ... peacock blue!

What is your favorite dessert?
My mom makes these rum balls that are out of this world.

5 Random Facts
1. I have been babysitting for 14 years and still do it to this day! The money is amazing and I go nuts for those little faces. (See above! I've been watching both of those monkeys since they were born.)
2. For my day job I work in a university Career Center. My job is very fulfilling and it is paying for my Master's in Business Administration (due sometime in the Winter of 2010).
3. I love to read usually knocking out two books at once (reading one nightly before bed and listening to another during my commute!).
4. One of my real-life besties @jamieheartsshopping joined kaboodle not long ago & I couldn't be more thrilled!
5. I recently launched my own beauty blog called "the glossarie." Come say hello!

Prescriptives...
Nivea Lip Care A Kiss Of...
Island Michael Kors Capri...
The sun has finally broken through two weeks of cloud cover and rain in our nation's capital and I am ready to hit the poolside deck!  Not one to wear a full face of makeup to splash in the waves, I'll be sporting lots of sunscreen, a waterproof mascara to-be-named-later and a sheer, sparkly lip gloss.

These two have graced my Beauty Lusts list for some time now and I have to say I am in love with each of them equally. The Prescriptives Exhilarating Lip Gloss in Guava is such a fun and unexpected shade. It's a limited edition flavored gloss to boot! The Island Michael Kors Capri Lip Gloss is an uber-shimmery poppy pink also flavored with orange, rose, and fig.

While these stunning jewel-toned glossies will add some pretty shimmer to your pout, they won't protect against the sun's harmful rays so be sure to prime your pucker with an SPF balm like Nivea's Kiss of Protection. Which one is your fave? Take your pick and toss it in this tote (just for fun!) along with your towel and current beach read.

Happy sunning, gorgeous!

The Lip Slip
Some may know Sarah Happ for her line of Lip Scrubs which come complete with their own cult following.  I don't know about you, but neither my makeup drawer nor my routine have room for a scrub that specific.  I can exfoliate with my toothbrush, thankyouverymuch.  I had a feeling, however, Sarah Happ was one to watch.  And I was right.

Enter The Lip Slip, Sarah's latest creation.  This baby is true love in a chubby little tub.  A girl can't help but feel spoiled pretty upon first glance at the tiny golden-hued, grossgrain ribbon-tied box.  Inside is one generous serving of luxury balm that is amazingly cushiony soft to the touch.  A faint scent of marshmallow takes the cake, clearly rendering this concoction deserving of its owner's description: soft, sweet, nude, girly, and grand.

Once on, the Lip Slip is deliciously thick and rich, moisturizing every part of your pucker with an ever-so-slightly sparkly hint of pink.  This stuff is too pretty to be worn over night!  I've tossed one in my purse for constant closeness because this girl?  Is stuck on the Slip.

THE COSMETIC MARKET
Imagine a bright and airy store, with inviting test counters, endless goodies and wire shelves stacked high with beauty booty.  I first stepped foot into this makeup maven's paradise when visiting a friend in Nashville, Tennessee and she almost had to drag me out!

The Cosmetic Market is staffed by the sweetest girls in white polos and green aprons who help customers to their awesome stash of Tarte, Cargo, Philosophy, Jane Iredale, Archipelago and many, many more.  I'm currently lusting several treats from TCM!

Jane Iredale's LipDrink immediately grabbed my attention since I'm always on the hunt for the perfect balm.  It's all natural and has a citrusy flavor topped off with SPF15.  I also got excited by Cargo's Sponge Shadow (14).  It's a petal-shaped sponge applicator with a long handle, perfect for lids.  Rounding out my faves is Anastasia's After Tweeze Cream.  My sensitive skin all really freaks out after brow waxing and tweezing.  This stuff soothes and refreshes to calm redness and heal the ouchies that brow grooming leaves behind.

So, I know what you're thinking.  Not many of us live in Nashville.  Thankfully TCM has launched a website for their non-local shoppers and I'm happy to say their good service carries through from brick and morter to world wide web.  Their online universe is even complete with a product blog that I really love.

What are you waiting for?  Click on over!  Happy shopping :)

American Heart...
Sephora Brand Tricks of...
It's no secret that I am a big fan of Sephora's new Complete Lip Balm.  This simple stuff knocks it out of the park for $8 as far as I'm concerned.  Aside from soothing, protecting, and moisturizing it also plumps with a cool minty sensation that I just can't get enough of.

In my weekly waltz around Sephora this morning, I spotted Bare Escentual's Charity Buxom Big & Healthy Lip Polish in Charity.  The color caught my attention right away: a crayola red with subtle sparkle.  Stunning!  At closer look, I learned that Charity is a limited edition shade that benefits the American Heart Association.  I have long been a fan of the Buxom line for its pretty plumping effects and I am always in love with any company that's doing good.

I have to say that the resulting combination of Charity and my Sephora Complete Lip Balm caused quite a sensation, and you'll see why.  The pairing was not only gorgeous, but the mix of Sephora's minty cool and Buxom's cinnamon hot plumpers created a an icy/hot pout!  I am obsessed with the final product and have definitely found my favorite lip look for Spring.
