So I've been a bit busy lately, and as a result my Kaboodle time has been a bit more limited. This past weekend my best friend got married, and I've been busy doing maid of honor things.

bridesmaid dresses - American Eagle
wedding dress - David's Bridal
flowers - Portland Farmer's Market

I'll be trying to get back into the swing of things!

Lucky Brand Sweet N Low...
Dakine Girls Ava Autumn...
Yesterday I had to go find a swimsuit for this weekend, and as usual I bought more than just the swimsuit. Having a bit of an "apple" body shape, all my weight goes to my belly, and I desperately needed a tankini that did not exaggerate this phenomena that has occurred on my waistline since I hit my mid-20s. I would love to show you guys the swimsuit I bought, but sadly, I can't find it anywhere online.

Anyways, I went to Macy's where they are having a huge sale right now. Their swimwear is majorly discounted - I got mine for almost 60% off. For a grand total of $138 I got the tankini top and bottom, a pair of Roxy board shorts, a swim cover-up and a pair of Lucky jeans. I signed up for a Macy's card (eeek, they finally got me!) and so I saved about $160. The picture shows the jeans I got. They are much cuter in person, and the embroidery on the back pockets sparkle! Normally the jeans run $110, but they were 30% off!

After Macy's, we (my boyfriend went with me) to Zumiez to look for guys board shorts. While we were there, I picked up the above purse and proceeded to carry it around the store with me. He picked out some awesome black plaid board shorts, and I bought the purse. The question is, should I keep it? I have my white Kenneth Cole New York purse, but it's the only bag I have right now.

Any input would be appreciated! Did anyone else have any 4th of July sale bargains?

So, I got caught a bit off guard this morning when I put on my khakis and they were a bit more snug than I expected. They weren't tight, but I was expecting to need a belt. I took them off and thought about wearing something else, and then I caught a glimpse of the label - it said "Gap". This isn't notable, except I thought I was wearing my Martin + Osa khakis. Turns out, my Gap khakis that had previously been too small, totally fit!

Just thought I'd share my joy - not a bad way to start the day. =)

(I would have done a "What I'm Wearing" but khakis and sandals are a bit blah).
