SO.. i decided, since i can't sleep, to accept crayola09's challenge and made my own favorite things styleboard. now i will elaborate on the favorites.

1. Clothing Item- a COMFORTABLE cardigan.
I am such a softy for a great cardigan. I have so many.. but I love them and will continue to buy them and wear them out. 
 
2. Shoe or shoe type- HOT peep toes.
basically every pair of heels i own are peep toes.. minus the pumps i have on my feet, the sandals i bought for graduation last year, and a few dance shoes.
 
3. Store/brand- American Eagle.
I couldn't really pick so i just chose AE. I mean most of my clothes come from there.
 
4. Ice cream flavor- mint chocolate chip.
LOVE IT. enough said.
 
5. Movie- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
It was hard to pick this or The Virgin Suicides. I love them both, but I think Eternal Sunshine is more applicable and appropriate towards my life. It holds a lot of meaning in it.
 
6. Make-up brand- Too Faced.
Love being able to go to Sephora and mess around with all the colors. I need to go soon, because my current eyeshadow dropped and is kind of mixed up (it was two shades) :(
 
7. Animal- Hello Kitty.
She counts right? Real animal: cute fluff ball bunnies and kittens.
 
8. Celebrity- Leighton Meester.
I love her as herself or as Blair Waldorf :) <3
 
9. Band- Death Cab For Cutie.
Soundtrack to my life. Second runner up: The Decemberists.
 
10. Perfume- Be Delicious.
Only because it's my current scent.
 
11. Accessory- Earrings.
I buy way too many earrings and shoes.
 
12. Food- Chicken & Cashews.
I simply love chinese food in general.
 
13. Place to visit- The beach.
I can't wait for an opportunity to go back.
 
14. Beauty Product- Mascara.
Daily routine + foundation + lotion/moisturizer.
 
15. Book- The Time Traveler's Wife.
If you've only ever seen the movie.. GO READ THE BOOK. soooo much better.

This year I started my freshman year of college.  I knew it was going to be expensive, but I didn't even imagine how much money i'd be spending on things just for everyday life.  So this year for Christmas I felt guilty for asking for things. My mother still wanted a list though and I decided to supply her with a very wishful list of ideas, only a few things of which I actually thought I would receive.  Noticing others have made lists inspired me to update my blog with an entry of just how damn lucky I was this year..

I finished up with school the end of last week and before I left I needed to exchange gifts with my boyfriend.  He lives in NY and I live in PA so we knew we wouldn't see each other until returning to school.  

I wasn't really sure what to get him, and well honestly I didn't have a lot of money to spend on him let alone anyone this year.  I did my best though and I got him a green and blue striped thermal, a tshirt from threadless.com (ft. above), and made him two cds. Plus he gets a painted present when he we return. He decided to be a big spender though and got me a flip video camera. I was definitely not expecting it at all and had only really mentioned being interested in it once. It's pretty cool. I've shot over 25 videos already.

It's very easy to use and super portable. Mine holds 2 hours of recorded video and came with a little pouch so it won't get scratched when not in use.  The camera comes with preloaded software so it's basically plug into your USB port and go.  The software allows you to make movies, cards, and a whole lot of stuff. 

So far Christmas has been pretty exciting :)

This is what I wore to the Decemberists concert. I love this shirt! I bought it at Charlotte Russe the day of while I was waiting to go to my school to pick up the yearbook. It was a little more than I usually decide to spend on one item there but i love love love it! Wore my favorite Levi jeans, and sandals similar to the ones above only in black and sans the extra ankle strap.

The concert was AMAZING. I had never heard the opening act before [Heartless Bastards], but I fell in love. The singers voice was great and it was a she! I love strong female singers! Then the Decemberists played at least 2 sets of music if not 3. It was great. Definitely recommend them for a show. Colin Meloy and everyone sounded exactly like they do on the albums.

This past weekend I went shopping with my future college roommate. I wanted to look cute and presentable so I wore some of my new clothes. You can't see my pants or shoes but oh well :P
