I spy with my little eye...

It's spring/summer, and floral prints of all sorts are everywhere right now (as can only be expected). Many of these statement pieces, from the Princess Punk Zip Dress from Lulu's to Anthropologie's Camellia Headband, are a very easy way to update or liven up your wardrobe (if you're sick of all of your clothes like I am right now!). Florals sure have come a long way since Laura Ashley!

I've never been much of one for lying around on the beach, and I actually turned down my mom's offer for a high school graduation trip to Hawaii back in 2003 (I opted for San Francisco instead). But, lately, I've been dying to take a trip down to Mexico to lie on the beach and play volleyball for a few days.

I've been seeing this influence my personal style as I look for pieces this summer with lots of embroidery and eyelet detail, bright colors against black or white, and hair accessories with flowers on them.
