sadly, i've been on a shopping ban for a couple of months. see, after tackling my expenses (requires a good dose of tequila), i was clearly overspending on clothes (it had been a good season...), so i stopped cold. no shopping whatsoever.

but i'm back girls, and it sure is a glorious winter ahead! crazy excited about the over-the-knee boots trend... gift shopping for my loves... finding that jewel of a dress to wear for new years!

i was thinking that earrings could really kick up an outfit and bring some focus to the face... but i don't have my ears pierced (shocker!). claire's doesn't carry clip-ons anymore... has anyone seen them around the mall?

this piece is 100% cotton and pretty much a normal black shirt except for the one shoulder detail. it stood out to me on the express website, so i'll be checking it out in the store this weekend.

surprisingly, i don't already own a pair of converses. that said, i love the look and can see myself using them as my main walking shoes.

assigning points... {avg 7.5/10}

{versatility 8/10} appropriate except for an evening out. can't expect to reasonably flirt in them

{stylish 7/10} deduct 1 pt if i'm unable to pull it off with the rip tide convertible skirt for a casual everyday look.

{packability -- } shoes are bulky and horrible to pack, period.

i am feeling dubious about this piece. your call... is it acceptable or does it scream tourist way too loudly?
