Persephone's Mind

If you have the imagination, there are no limits

Red is No, Green is Yes. And "Anything Goes" means ANYTHING.

I may be disabled/Spammed for this (as we have been flagged all over the place recently), but I have to liberate my mind on this issue regarding Kneehighsocks and her recent contest and Account being disabled suddenly. I done some research on the link KHS sent us for her contest, and read the ToU under "Blogs, Videos and other user-generated Postings; Social Networking". There is no indication at all that she was conducting third party advertising. I base this on the fact of a prior Poll she had posted regarding deciding between Knee High Socks she was undecided on getting, and they were of the same site she had included in her knee high socks contest. The site she also included with her contest, has a history etc. of the products on there, and an "About Us" link. If I am wrong on this, then I stand corrected without shame, because I believe the decision to have disabled her account, and flag all of our Blogs and Comments since her contest is unfair. And could have been researched more by those who flagged us, and disabled her account. I read the rules, and see nothing stating we cannot social network a contest using another sites product(s). Isn't this the purpose of also having the Kaboodle toolbar button to add to our lists to begin with? As I am sure some of us DID in fact click on the "Add To Kaboodle" button in adding the item we liked. We also have the option of creating Blogs discussing various items we found we liked, and want to share with others here as well. Including links etc. to the site containing such items the Blog would refer to. Sort of the same concept.

Kneehigh socks has asked her friends (Us) in the recent past, to become a Fan of her brand. Knee High Socks (and the site in reference to her contest) is in fact a brand. It is obvious she also chose the username of something she is a fan of herself. She loves Knee high Socks! The site link she provided directed to the named site "Knee High Socks". How is this a third party, promoting or personal advertising? A lot of items we add to the wishlists are of third parties, and not always that of Kaboodle sponsors. Then what would be the use of the Kaboodle button to add anything to a wishlist here at all? Should we not have the button anymore? Shouldn't we refrain from using it all together now? It would make no sense to use it in this case.

Terms of Use:
"Because Kaboodle does not monitor the Postings, you agree to use and rely on them at your own risk. Kaboodle cannot make any representation or warranty about the material contained in the Postings."

Was this monitored and researched thoroughly before making such a decision as to disable her account, and flag all of our Blogs and comments as Spam? I have commented on other friends Styleboards, and have had them mysteriously flagged as Spam too. When they were clearly not Spam. I am hoping this is all a  huge misunderstandning, and is corrected soon.

Branding: "A brand is a name or trademark connected with a product or producer."

I too have brands I enjoy and like. And have shared those brands within Styleboards. And have found many various Branded items in Kaboodles lists as well. In this case, KHS only supported a product she admires.

Promoting: "Promotion involves disseminating information about a product, product line, brand, or company. It is one of the four key aspects of the marketing mix. (The other three elements are product marketing, pricing, place.)". Again, KHS was simply promoting a product she likes a lot, as we all have with many products already in Kaboodles list as well.

Hmmm...would seem the same applies with the many items already found within Kaboodle's lists as well. And those we have always been using Kaboodles wishlist button for too. i.e. on Third Party Marketing and Product Sites.

I also believe KHS could have had a right to defend herself prior to, and request some sort of appeal in her defense. I know to some, this just doesn't seem like a major big deal. But it is when unjustified, others are affected, and w/o reason. And a lot of us have been (in a sense) falsely accused of Spamming!

So, I may be disabled/Spammed for this posting regarding my Poll as a means to express myself along with those who feel the same on this issue. but that is ok. Because see, I have a personal Blog too, along with keywords/tag lines. I am a firm believer in Justice and right to social networking etc. And when any ToS etc. seems to contradict itself, then it should be discussed.

Thank you!

Edit: And perhaps the Terms of Use would need a revamping then. To make things more clear to the users who join Kaboodle. Because technically...this section of the ToU is contradicting in a sense. Maybe she should have cleared something with Kaboodle, but would that also merit all of our comments etc. being flagged as Spam all of the time too?

Awareness
I created this in memory of my Grandma, and 2 friends who have passed due to cancer. A month ago, we just had a biker friend who had passed away of an incurable cancer, and now another friend's gf has the same thing! We held a cancer awareness Benefit the last week of September into October, in their memory as well. Cancer is no joke, and should never go ignored, no matter what part of the body it infests. So please show some love & support for those you love, and those children who are the cure to our future.

Reflection Of You
It has been raining here a lot. Although I like the rain, and storms that dwell with them, this season is pretty cold! So, I put all the choices provided in the Styleboard creator that I liked for this outfit, based on the Old Navy item of the week. I've always like men's button down shirts, so it adds comfort to almost anything a woman can add to it. Which in turn, adds beauty. Style, to me, says something about a person, no matter what shape or size we are individually. Especially the shoes, and the way we all carry ourselves as a human. If I could afford most of the fashions they have here, I would so sport them around.
