I unsuccessfully attempted to lie, but I knew I was nailed; I think I was eight. Mom had just baked a fresh batch of cookies. She gave me explicit instructions; under no circumstances was I to touch those cookies. I wish I had been a little bit wiser, though -- I should have eaten the entire cookie....
