I dont know much about an MAC but, an all in one printer is a great addition to any pc. As far as cheaper printer ink/printer cart. well, you pay for what you get. If quality is your top concern purchase quality ink with an quality printer.

I can't tell if this is a fax, too, but if it is, go for it! My Pixma prints the most gorgeous colors for all my photos--you can't tell what's a "real" photo or what's printed on the Pixma!
