It depends on what type/formality of clothing you are going to wear it with. The more variegated in color one, with larger stones, is a TOUCH more casual; the somewhat more evenly colored one, with the slight graduation to it, would really suit dressy to semi-formal to formal. The first one would go from casual up to dressy well, and would be ok semi-formal really dependant though on the actual outfit . . .
