My filangies are freshly painted with butter LONDON's great icy lilac color, Muggins ($14). I'm loving the look! I applied two coats of the 3 free color to my nails, as well as a clear nail protector both underneath the polish as a primer and coating the polish as a sealant. The thick brush swept on the white purple with virtually no streaks or bumps.

If you're looking for a silvery purple nail color to try this season, I highly reccommend butter LONDON in Muggins.

Happy painting!

pH Restorative Detangling...
Maui Wowie Beach Mist
I have beach hair, but I haven't been to la playa yet this summer. Quite the riddle, right? I'll let you in on my secret to getting beach hair without ever stepping toe on sand. Say hello to my miracle man, Philip B.

The other day I sprayed Philip B detangler ($24/4.23 fl oz.)on my damp hair and followed that up with Philip B beach mist ($22/5.07 fl oz.). The detangler is made with apple cider vinegar, so it smells well, distinct. It reduces frizz and gives me shiny strands. The beach mist has quickly become my new obsession. It's the beach in a bottle. It smells like crisp ocean waves and immediately made my thin hair thicker and allowed me to mold it into shape before it set in and gave me that fresh-off-the-dunes look!

If you can't make to the beach to get the real thing, get Philip B for beach hair in a bottle.

Are you aiming for the dewy look, but your powder blush leaves you looking matte and flat? Look no further. Today, I tried MAC’s Style Warrior Lustre Drops in Pink Rebel ($18.50) and I’m so happy with the results.

Here’s how I made it work. I squeezed 3 Lustre Drops into one pump of my moisturizer. Right now I’m using Kumaara’s Daily Antioxidant Protection with SPF 15 ($59.95), which is made from a totally luxurious berry blend. I’m loving its rich feel on my skin, despite its slightly sunscreeny scent. I mixed the two together and applied the mixture to my cheekbones.

Voila! Those teeny tiny drops make a big impact and add a light catching luminescence to any look.

It’s June and I cannot hide my legs underneath leggings or skinny denim any longer. Ladies, while we may be able to get away with shaving only once a week, or heck, once a month in winter, you know summer means busting out the razor and shaving cream way more often than that to get our stems smooth, shiny, and ready for their summer debut.

I recently tried Barbasol’s Pure Silk Moisturizing Citrus Zest Shave Cream (about $4). I’ll never go back to my plain old soap. This shave cream is super thick, so it doesn’t wash away in the shower before you have time to shave. It feels totally luxurious on my legs and smells like fresh oranges, which is a great scent to get the brain going in the morning. I honestly couldn’t stop touching my legs after I got out of the shower! That silky smooth feeling lasted two entire days. Impressive.

Now I’m ready to wear my new J. Crew skirt without worrying about embarassing prickly legs or tiny blonde leg hair glistening in the sun. Watch out world, my legs are ready for their closeup!

There's a first time for everything, right? So if you haven't tried bright blue nail polish, now is the time. Creative Nail Design makes diving into the blue a little less intimidating with their Hot Pop Blue color (about $6), an electric sky blue. I swept this color on last weekend and my nails are still in tip top shape thanks to Speedey (about $6), a daily-defense top coat made by the same brand.

I've found that this summery blue goes surprisingly well with everything I've worn all week (either that, or no one has told me I'm a walking fashion faux pas). The color makes me smile and reminds me of all the watery blue pools I'm dying to dive into. Now I'm just waiting for the sun to get in the mood to come out and play.

This past weekend, I sampled this Smashbox Mother Earth Palette ($45), a sustainable compact stocked with four shadows and one blush all made from organic ingredients. I used the lighter nude and taupe shadows to highlight my upper lids and the inner corners of my eyes (Beauty tip: light shadow applied to the inner corner and lower lashline really makes eyes pop!). The darker slate blue and raisin shadows added a sultry dimension to my look. I swept the peachy pink blush onto my cheekbones for a healthy flush of color.

This earthy color scheme seems custom made for Shakespeare’s character Helena in his A Midsummer Night’s Dream. I can totally picture her taking a nap in a moss covered clearing waiting for her young Athenian lover to return her ceaseless love. This summer, when you’re daydreaming of dancing with your summer fling on a moonlight forest floor, take matters of the heart into your own hands. Don’t wait for the forest fairy Puck to drop a floral love potion onto your idle eyelids-- swipe on these Smashbox shadows instead and you’ll be sure to turn some heads when you’ve awoken from your slumber.
