My current pair of black ankle booties really needs to be retired. But since I actually NEED a particular item, I'm having a hard time picking a pair to invest in.  I've been compiling a list of black ankle booties and I was hoping I could get your opinion! I'd love to hear what you think!

Three Recent Manicures

5 ›
Sep 19, 2011 in Hair & Beauty
Since I'm so behind on blogazine posts I thought I would simply share three of my recent manicures with you.

Kate Spade Mani
The first one is a mani I cam up with after looking the Kate Spade ad featuring Bryce Dallas Howard. Colors used:
  • Hot Pink – Essie in Super Bossa Nova
  • White –  NYC in FrenchWhite Tip
  • Silver – Sephora by OPI in Social Climber
  • Black –  Sephora by OPI in What’s a Tire Jack
  • Top coat – Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat

Missoni Mani
While we were all still waiting for Target's Missoni line to hit the stores, I decided to polish my nails with a Missoni-inspired pattern. Colors used:
  • H&M Nail Polish in Berry
  • Sephora by OPI in What's a Tire Jack
  • N.Y.C. in French White Tip
  • H&M Nail Polish in Light Purple
  • H&M Nail Polish in Berry
  • Deborah Lippmann in Dark Side of the Moon
  • Chanel in Peridot

Metallic Mani
The last mani started out when I tried on my new bottle of Deborah Lippmann's Brick House. I thought it looked super bronze-y so I added gold glitter to amp up the metallic effect. Colors used:
  • Deborah Lippmann Brick House
  • E.L.F. Gold Glitter

Which one would you rock?

Help My Nails Win!

28 ›

When I sat down to polish my nails the other day, for some reason, the image of a card I received was in my head. Inspired by the yellow zig-zag striped design, I carefully freehanded a similar design using my new nail brush.

I started off with two coats of OPI's Moon Over Mumbai and painted the yellow stripes on with Butter London's Cheeky Chops. Seche Vite's Fast Dry Top Coat not only sealed and protected the polish, but it gave my streaky strokes a smoother appearance.

With today's look, I've entered Nicole by OPI's Nailing Your Style Contest for a chance to win the entire Nicole by OPI polish collection. It would mean so much to me if you would click through and vote for my look! And please tell your friends to vote for me because the look with the most votes wins!

Thank you so much!
