I'm not one for posting WIW, but I'm definitely a WIC (What I'm Carrying) type of girl. This awesome Converse One Star Zipper Satchel (in black) is my new best friend! I have been searching quite some time for the perfect bag to fit my needs - roomy, classically shaped with an edgy touch, leather or close to it and black. Oh yeah... it also had to fit my budget! Found!!! If you're looking for a great bag on a great budget, check out this bag and the rest of the Converse line at Target.

I recently blogged about a perfume that took me back to my childhood, but I'd have to say that this scent, In Bloom by Reese Witherspoon, is all woman! A beautiful, feminine and warm floral, it encompasses all that is a lady. It seems to fit Reese's Southern-gal personality --- young yet wise, dainty yet strong, beautiful yet unique. And very sensuous!
The base notes for the scent are gardenia, amber wood and peach tea leaves, and it is available alone or in a giftset with body wash and lotion. Although I will probably purchase this in either the giftset or as eau de parfum, it is also available in a slightly pricier (but limited edition) parfum version. Both versions come in this simple but pretty bottle.
I'm definitely adding this to my wishlist! If you're looking for the perfect lady-like scent to round out your scent library, I'd recommend adding it to yours, too!

This weekend while shopping I stumbled across a little time machine I'd like to call Black Star by Avril Lavigne. As soon as the scent hit my nose, I was taken back to my grade school/middle school days. Days when I wore a "Debbie Gibson hat" and knew all the lyrics to the Only in My Dreams and Electric Youth albums. When everyone was basically good (as far as I knew), and all girls grew up to be beautiful, intelligent but individual versions of Barbie.
I'm not saying this scent is dead-on, but it is certainly familiar enough to have incitied these memories. If you're looking to revisite your youth or just like smelling sweet with a pinch of sassy, this would be the perfume for you!

Let me start off by saying this, and I'll try to keep the rest short and sweet. I rarely enjoy a movie so much that I'm willing to pay box-office prices more than once to see it. Zombieland would be a definite exception!
All the actors were excellent, but Woody Harrelson and a surprise appearance by another beloved comedic actor made a could-have-been average film into a comedy classic! I will always keep Shaun of the Dead number one in my heart (as far as zombies and awesome leading characters go), but this is definitely a great second. Or maybe number one and half.
There's plenty of action, more than enough comedy and a dash of human interest to round out the film and make it the entertaining story it was meant to be. Even if zombies aren't your thing, I can guarantee you'll enjoy spending a little time in Zombieland.
(If you've seen the movie already, please don't disclose specific details about the film or the surprise appearance in your comments. That's what made it so entertaining! Thanks.)
I ♥ Zombieland!

Okay, Kaboodlers - here's my problem. I am head-over-heels in love with Balenciaga's top-notch style. I am not in love, however, with their top-notch price range of $1,200 and up.
My eye has been on this Balenciaga-inspired bag sold by fashionjunkee.com. It's definitely more in my price range!
I have never done business with Fashion Junkee and am a little concerned. I read some online reviews, and a handful of customers had to make returns (for clothing size issues); in turn they had trouble getting their money back. A couple of people said they finally got their problem resolved but it took a while. Also, there were complaints that there's no phone number to reach the company. (But they apparently have a brick-and-mortar store and I'm sure they could be contacted somehow.)
When I make a purchase I'm not planning on returning it, of course. But things happen. It could look like total crap or be a piece of junk. Most people seem to like the purchases they made but that's no guarantee.
My question is: Has anyone here ever purchased from fashionjunkee.com or know someone who has? If so, what was the experience like and how would you rate the merchandise? Or do you know of anyone else who carries basically the same product?
Thanks!!!!
*** I checked out fashionjunkee.com on the BBB website. Not enough complaints to red-flag them.
*** I don't want a Balenciaga knockoff - just a bag inspired by the style. I love that the above bag is not patent leather(ette), has delicate hardware and tassels (hate big details) and has overall more delicate styling.
