The multiples are cast by a local caster from my original, then I size and finish them. The ring is oxidized to emphasize the detail. A size 6.5 is shown on the model. Sizes 6-8 are generally in stock and ready to ship, other sizes are made to order within about 2 days- quarter and half sizes are possible. Well, here it is: my maiden voyage into the world of fine wire coiling! This pendant has taken shape over the course of 2 days into something quite special. The focal pendant consists of sterling silver fine gauge wire, handwrapped by me onto a frame that I constructed myself. I then added pretty coiled swirls and an assortment of my favorite gemstones. I chose ones that remind me of my beloved ocean. On the outer perimeter of the circle pendant, you'll find little Czech glass beads in a grassy green w/brown patina. A single small pearl floats amid the sterling swirls, and the gemstone torsade below consists of: a large (8x10mm), smooth Peruvian Opal gemstone that is just gorgeous~~~ A fine Swiss blue topaz briolette that is brilliantly faceted and very sparkly~~~ Two translucent apatite briolettes~~~ Two tiny freshwater pearls~~~ Two fat peridot rondelles, both faceted~~~ A minty quartz briolette~~~ A small sparkly apatite rondelle~~~ and last but (definitely) not least, A robin's egg... The colors for this wrap were suggested by a customer of mine. She requested a cream colored wrap with a red rose brooch and it came out so lovely that I had to offer it in my shop. The wrap is crocheted from a soft acrylic yarn in soft off-white. It can be worn with the top folded down like a cowl or straight up. I added two vintage buttons in off white for the closure. A single wine-red rose brooch makes a striking focal point for this wrap.
