You could say dermatologist-turned-designer Mauro Orietti-Carella discovered the "fountain of youth" when he came up with the idea of injecting exotic skins such as python and crocodile with silicone. The result, as evidenced by this handbag, is gorgeous buttery soft python skin. The new, streamlined version of Zagliani's signature bag has a 2" structured frame with skinny leather "belt" treatment. Below, the skin is softly pleated to form a semi-pouchy shape. It measures 11" tall by 19" wide at its widest point. The side gussets when compressed are about 1 1/2" wide; when expanded they go all the way to 5" or more. The round handles have a 7" drop, so it fits snugly under your arm. Inside, it has a double compartment lined with creamy soft suede, one interior zippered pocket and one cell phone pocket.
