This was for a Studio Starts on the SBG blog today - what we learned this summer. I learned alot about hope, and treasure the photos I got yesterday morning to illustrate it. Journaling: This morning I was up early enough to see the sunrise, and it spoke straight to my heart. In it, there were shadows - heavy lines of darkness piercing the sky like jagged spears. Moments later those shadows were completely overcome by the power of the fast-rising light. I was reminded that if it werent for the light, there would be no shadows. My summer has been difficult for so many reasons, but this morning I realized that all my shadows have been created for me by my Living Light, and because of that very Light who created them for me, they are not only visible, but will also be beautiful at the moment of His choosing. Away from His presence they remain utterly dark, hopeless of becoming anything more. Oh how I need to remember that powerful, glowing, wonderful Light, without which I would be in... See less
