My bag weighed in at 20 pounds fully loaded with a week's worth of clothes plus laptop. Manageable, yes, but I would pare down my clothes if I were going to walk a long way with it on my back. The waist belt help distribute the weight down to your hips and off of your shoulders...a big help! The outermost pocket is large enough to store my 15" laptop in its shuttle sleeve, making it easy to get through security checkpoints. The bright orange interior makes it easy to see items that are stashed inside. I hate scrounging in the bottom of bags for my keys but I don't have to with the handy key fob that's found in this bag.
