After the blooms pass, the foliage remains dappled with white and cream all season! Gardeners are of two minds about this plant: some like the sprays of dainty red blooms best, while others prefer the generously white-dusted leaves. All agree on one thing, however, and that is that 'Snow Angel' is easy to grow, lovely year-round, and indispensable for the garden and container. The large, heart-shaped, lobed foliage unfurls in spring a pale green with plentiful splashes and smatters of white. This variegation remains right through the strongest summer sun and heat, lending a cool tone to the plant. In late spring and early summer, the foliage is topped by long, slender 12-inch stems, each sporting a large cluster of deep pink blooms, dangling like belated holly berries. The blooms remain a long time and are excellent for cutting. Their color complements the variegated foliage beautifully.
