I take bits and pieces from the tons and tons of historical fashion books I have, and this is the kind of thing I come up with. I'm really excited about this piece! This is my empire waist bodice that curves down to a little pleated mini-bustle in the back. It is worn over a waist corset, along with a splendid bustled skirt. Like all of my corsets, these are truly built for real women. They have curves in them. They come down far enough to cover and flatten the lower belly and love handles.
