This is an attractive cotton damask table cloth measuring approx 50 inches square (128 cm). It has a white damask centre (second photograph) and a 5 1/2 inch / 14 cm green border of stylised nasturtium / lily leaves with angular / geometric design behind. Cloth is woven and not printed. The cotton is quite thick and crisp and goes stiff when line dried. Condition is particularly good. One pale mark - which has become paler after one wash and will probably be gone in a few more washes. Seller thought it was in storage for some time. Art Deco / 1930's. See less

Part of eBay seller's collection for years. Unlaundered by seller for a year or so, but arrived clean and lightly pressed. The "Silver" towel is embroidered with a dancing puppy. It is an "American Towel of USA - Star Brand Threads" which is stamped in black (very subtle) on the interior edge (back side) of this cloth under the blanket stitching. Excellent cond. other than a few blemishes in the form of maybe a spot of tea (very light). It measures 17 X 23.75 inches. The colors of embroidery floss used on this creation - black, rusty red, lime/chartreuse green and the prettiest "silvery" blue make quite a pretty combination. The doggie is wearing a chef's hat that is embroidered in the silvery blue thread as is his shirt & apron. The black & red striping on each side is part of the fabric which appears to be cotton - maybe an ever-so-slight amount of linen thrown in, for good measure. See less
