Poppy is my experiment in free form shapes. My designs tend to be very precise and geometric so I wanted to try something a bit more organic. Each poppy is formed by hand and the rough edges show it. The poppies are created from fine silver metal clay. The large poppy measures about 1 1/4 inch and the small ones measure about 3/4 inch. The 18 inch sterling silver chain has been given a dark oxidation. Closes with a secure hook and eye clasp. Even the natural garnets are uncut! The garnets are called Ant Hill Garnets. They are really cool because they are not commercially mined. Ants will dig them out of the ground and bring them to the surface when they are digging their tunnels. People come and pick them up outside of the ant hills. Artist stamped on the back. See less

This copper beauty has been strung on a delicate antiqued copper plate chain 50cm (19 3/4 in) in length from clasp to end. The bulb flower hangs about 4cm (1 1/2 in) from the chain. Particulars: none of my necklaces are intended for use by children, but the delicate glass in this piece makes it especially inappropriate.
