The most beautiful shades of baby pink and light citrus green make this Ian St Gielar necklace so so attractive. Double stranded pink beads, separated with smaller goldtone beads and highlighted with two large barley twist style stones make up the necklace part which is finished with a renaissance style Russian gold plated hook and tail fastening. The large cartouche (or pendant) is the usual marvel of tiny handwired Murano glass beads this time in a delicate light citrus green dotted with pink and green flowers and pink art glass dangles. There is one large faux moonstone or faux opal cabochon cut stone which glistens like golden confetti and to finish there are the most delightful tiny striped red, white and blue art glass beads forming a trail over the cartouche. This is a superb vintage Ian St Gielar, for Stanley Hagler, shades of pink & grey parure that has had even the experts drooling. Consisting of outrageous necklace with an amazing large central cartouche & equally amazing large drop pendant, matching chunky triple stranded bracelet with fabulous large clasp and beautiful matching clip on earrings. This set is a work of art and highly desirable in these particular colours and style. Every leaf of every flower is encrusted with tiny glass beads all hand wired onto Russian gold plated filigree backs. There are numerous dog tooth set large pink glass cabochons throughout the set as well as exquisite gold plated leaves, Murano glass flowers and pink rhinestones with silver grey central flowers and beautiful pierced glass beads. A similar set (without the bracelet) appears in Judith Miller's guide to costume jewellery on page 112. How lovely is this set which we believe may be by Kramer or Weiss. Beautiful baby pink cabochons and clear chatons lovingly assembled on this necklace and clip on earrings demi. There is great articulation in the earrings with moveable lower sections and the necklace which has a hook and tail fastening has the sweetest silvertone love hearts on the tail. Both necklace and earrings have a lovely double row of small cabochon stones which compliment the clear chatons perfectly. Would it be too much to suggest that Audrey Hepburn may have loved this set!
