Thanks to @snowmobile476 for this find. I think it looks like a bigger version of the Koi bed for cats that @kabroskie found.

This thing really looks like it's regurgitating a cat.

It totally does.

omg!! ♥

When I was little we had a neighbor that has two of these dogs. So cute. :)

We nearly got a Boston instead of our Frenchie. I read the person's entry regarding her dog. The funny thing is you'd be amazed how many people say things like "Oh, he's got a face only a mother could love!" Uh...Ok...I think my dog is pretty cute (and I know a ton of people do), so maybe you're just off your rocker, crazycakes.

I think this guy looks like he's posing for the picture, don't you? Almost like a pin-up girl.

OMG!!! he is soooooooooooo cute! i have this kind of dog named quicy.! AWWW THIS IS SOO CUTE!

I love Molly, my boston.

Boston Terrier

See this at: static.gotpetsonline...| Added on 05/26/09

Or maybe a Boston Terrier? What's the main difference between a Boston and Frenchie?

:)

A lot of it is temperament. Bostons are terriers, so they tend to have that "LET'S GO! LET'S GO! LET'S GO!" crazy energy more than a frenchie. According to AKC a Boston is "a friendly and lively dog. The breed has an excellent disposition and a high degree of intelligence, which makes the Boston Terrier an incomparable companion." While a Frenchie is "Well behaved, adaptable, and comfortable companions with an affectionate nature and even disposition; generally active, alert, and playful, but not unduly boisterous." Buddha gets bouts of crazy energey, but it usually lasts a few minutes, then he's tired and just lays there panting and grinning.

YAY!!! THEY ARE SOOOOOOOO CUTE!

Black Pug

See this at: google.com| Added on 05/25/09

Comments (19)

omg.

So I've posted a Frenchy Pug and a Pug, which is what she reminds me of. She sort of has a smoosed face and bat ears, too.

i like the frenchie pug better, but thats just my opinion. this dog is so cute and the face is actually funny with the tongue sticking out.

Yeah, I'm really torn. The tongue sticking out is pretty cute, but both are ridiculously silly looking.

I have a frenchie (his name is Buddha) and he always has his tongue sticking out or his teeth poking over his top lip.

thats so funny and so freakin cute!

See?

Aww. That face! Those ears! What a cutie.

BTW, he totally looks like a Buddha. Well named!

If you get a Frenchie, I think you'll love him/her so much! We get stopped nearly every time we take him out. People want to pet him and know what kind of dog he is and kids think he looks funny (in a cute way!). If you do get a dog, I'd suggest that you put your dog in doggy day camp (we use the one in Petsmart, which cost about $21. You can drop them off as early as 7 a.m. and pick them up any time before they close for the night) so he can get used to being around other dogs. It helps socialize them AND it wears them out so they're ready for cuddles and bed when you get home that night and into the next day. : )

That's a great idea. I would love to hear more about your adventures with Buddha and what he's like. Did you do a lot of research before you got him? Did you go to a breeder? Is it true what they say about their health problems? I'm pretty sold, though, based on those pictures--they are amazingly adorable.

Buddha is a clown (which lives up to the Frenchie's nature). He is always doing silly things that make us laugh, so he provides tons of entertainment. Greg and I watched LOTS of dog shows before we bought Buddha. It gave us a good feel of what kinds of dogs we wanted to research, plus they usually give a good amount of breed information too. From there we looked at tons of pictures on Google (because every puppy is cute, but not ever dog is!) and read up on all the breeds we liked on the American Kennel Club and DogBreedInfo.com sites. Frenchies are expensive because they are hard to breed (they usually need artifical insemination to get pregnant and C-sections when giving birth [this is because their heads are larger than the birth canal]). We worked with a breeder. We did this because we wanted a dog that had been bred with only the best qualities in mind. A lot of times people who run puppy mills and other things like that don't care what the puppy's characteristics and mannerisms will be because they're only in it for the money, so you want to work with a reputable breeder who can give you papers documenting the puppy's lineage. This is also helpful if you decide you want to show your dog.

Frenchies tend to be susceptible to lots of health problems because they are brachiocephalic dogs (this means that they have the smooshed faces). Most often it's difficulty breathing, but we haven't noticed this in Buddha. He can overheat on days warmer than about 75 degrees, but if he's kept well hydrated and we use our fancy gel filled bandana around his neck, he usually does just fine.

I found this video on YouTube particularly helpful. That channel also has great videos on other breeds if you are interested.

Okay, I can't really find the video I was thinking of, so I found this video showing the "Death Yodel". Oddly enough, the puppy in the video looks a lot like Buddha!

We hear it most often when we leave Buddha home. It's so sad!

@gregsgal, its so cute how they lay. flat on their stomaches. like the picture you posted of your dog. love it!

I uploaded this video to my myspace page. Let me know if you can't see it. : )

That video is so dang cute. Olive perked up right away when I played it. I think it is a sign. :)

Did you all know you could add your own content to lists that aren't connected to websites? A whole new world of kaboodle just opened up for me. This could be dangerous.

Is this your kitty?!

Yep. Sure is.

Awww!!

I think she was "helping" me grade papers in that picture.

Did not know this,..neat! :D Your kitty is adorable!

Thanks! I know (about creating our own content). I just discovered that while I was reading the FAQs. I can see it's going to be trouble.

HAHAHA. That's awesome.

The "grading" that is.

Uh huh. She thought so, too. :)

LOL Such a cute kitty face! And I love her name :) I, too, have discovered the glory of uploading one's own content... I took advantage of that with my 'Things I Adore' list and went a little crazy....

Aw, thanks. Ah, so that's how you made that super cool list. And I was just about to ask you what kinds of things you used the feature for. :)

im not a cat lover...but your little kitten is beyond cute in this picture!

IMO, she has the power of cuteness to convert even the strongest of dog people. :)

aww, i just might have to agree with that. ;)

wow. i hate cats, but your kitty is absolutely adorable :]

Thanks, guys! I loving this love right now. Kaboodle rocks. You're the best. ♥♥♥

So cute!

adorable!

My husband would kill to have our house designed like this! He's such a cat person ;)

Ever since seeing this, I've been eyeing the AC vents thinking, hmmm, cat tunnel perhaps? Is this a good place for a catwalk?

Never heard of a cat designed house before. Good for "cat people."

Good for cats! The people are secondary. ;)

Yeah, well, you know what I mean. Both. Cats and Cat owners.

Of course. Just writing from the cats' perspective. :P

Don't know if this works or not, but it looks so tempting on TV.

Nevermind. I just read all the negative reviews on Amazon.

I wondered if it worked, as well, but it sort of looks creepy. And infomercials turn me off of products :P

Yeah, I agree. Better off using clippers, it would seem. I guess the noise if really off-putting.

Buddha actually isn't too bad with this. He seems to hols still better for this than regular clippers. I think it's the pressure on his nail that he doesn't like. We haven't had any problems with ours; however, we did remove the orange cap so we had a bit mroe control over it.

Good to know, @gregsgal. Thanks for the review. (Sorry I didn't get back to you on this sooner. Geez, nine days later...)

Haha! You're fine. Buddha isn't a fan of any grooming (baths, nail trims, etc) other than a good brushing with one of those rubber mitts. When Greg isn't around I don't even attempt trimming Buddha's nails myself, instead it's straight over to Petsmart's grooming station. : )
