This dress is part of our Bridal collection, but also makes a stunning evening dress. This dress features a lowcut front and back neckline with gathering at the shoulders, upper bust, and upper back. The underbust is sewn in sections to give it a sleek and flattering fit. The skirt falls between the ankle and the floor and combines bias cut and straight cut panels for a flattering A line shape. This dress is a heavier weight silk than the darker colors of the 1940's dress however, for modesty, you may wish to wear a slip or suitable undergarments with this lighter version. The soft ivory color is very close to the natural color of silk. It has a warm slightly yellow cast like you'd find on an antique.
