I made this olive green felt hat entirely by hand. I started by steaming and blocking the felt on antique wooden forms. The brim and crown were shaped separately and then sewn together; I sewed a wire into the edge of the brim for extra structure. I then trimmed the hat with three lengths of intricate olive green cording. A fabulous leather flower sits at the right side of the hat. This cloche is fabulously stylish and very wearable; the brim is short in the back to leave plenty of room for a jacket collar or a scarf. This hat has an interior measurement of 22 1/4 inches. This is a hat size 7 1/8 and is suitable for a medium sized head. A length of olive green grosgrain ribbon forms the band on the inside of the hat. All of my hats come with a complimentary hat box. One squiggly or vine-like earthenware vase pendant. Each one is handmade and unique - no molds used here! Matte black crackle glaze covering a glossy turquoise blue glaze with a small unglazed portion underneath the top side of the loop (where the cord fits through.) This piece measures approximately 2 inches tall, 1 1/2 inches wide, and 1 inch deep. By default the pendant comes with a soft 18" deerskin lace cord (picture 4) with a lobster clasp. Leather cord, silk cord, black or natural hemp, and barrel clasps are available options. This is one sharp bird, constructed from circular saw blades I have been collecting over the summer and other odds and ends around the studio and in my metal inventory, (junk pile). I call him Rocky The Radical Rooster, because his political calling is from the far left. He doesn't really crow about it but you can tell he isn't a fan of the Redublicans. He looks great in a garden setting or guarding the front porch. He is 28 inches long from beak to tail, 20 inches high and 8 inches wide and weighs almost ten pounds. The weight and size (oversize box)of this item make it a very expensive shipping cost. If it is more I will pay for it if it is less I will refund overpayment to the buyer. See less
