This hat has a very 1940's look, but, I believe Lucila Mendez designed primarily in the 1950's and 1960's, so, this may be a 1960's hat with 1940's influence! What a wonderful sweeping dramatic shape! The brim is just masterfully cut and topstiched...

This hat has a very 1940's look, but, I believe Lucila Mendez designed primarily in the 1950's and 1960's, so, this may be a 1960's hat with 1940's influence! What a wonderful sweeping dramatic shape! The brim is just masterfully cut and topstiched to create this wonderful sweep - the simple grosgrain ribbon sweeping forward just adds to the beauty! In wonderful condition, with tags from Gladdings, a former high-end Providence Department store, and, Lucila Mendez. Measures 21" at the interior band. Has a little give, as I am able to squish it onto my size 22" head, but, is intended as a 21. What a beauty! Please convo with any questions... See less
