1950s prom dress, in unusual and striking colors. Full princess skirt is a dark & rich green silk chiffon, layered over more chiffon in a muted yellow, over a base of smooth muted yellow rayon. Gorgeous! Rayon top is simple, in a tank style with wide straps, and bust darts. SIZE (model is a size 2) bust- 34" + darts waist- 27" length- 41" No label, this dress appears to have been hand sewn. I'd guess that it once had a matching jacket.. works beautifully with a cropped sweater or tailored jacket added. Condition is good. There are approximately 10 tiny-to-small holes throughout the delicate top layer of silk on the skirt, but they are relatively inconspicuous given all the folds of fabric (note: 4th photo shows wrinkles only, not damage.) The remainder of the garment shows only a small amount of vintage wear. The sturdy metal zipper up the back works very well. I'm very picky about condition, but this dress was too beautiful to pass up! Absolutely still a wearable dress. Price reflects... See less
