Everyone should add a little whimsy to their wedding. This beautiful large comb is decorated with four white flowers in the shape of cherry blossoms. White stamens have been added to give a little flair to the tops of each bloom. Four milky white beads make the center of the flowers. The comb itself is metal and a pewter color. This was made using the tsumami method which is the traditional Japanese art of pinching and folding squares of fabric to make flowers of different designs. While traditional kanzashi (hair ornaments) are usually made from silk, this has been constructed from cotton fabric to decrease the cost and add to the durability. This comb is a grand 6 1/8"(15.3cm) across and 2 3/8"(6.2cm) wide from the end of the teeth to the top of the largest flower. See less

Iridescent black-green-blue cocque feathers and handmade wired trim with vintage sequin stars, accented by a black 100% silk shantung rosette, facetted glass tube beads and anothr vintage sequin. Backed in wool-rayon felt. Completely made from scratch, by me. The feathers are vintage, from a New York milliner who went out of business. The wired trim uses vintage wire, and deep gold 6-pointed vintage sequins and soft gold rounded star-flower sequins.
