I used this method and had absolutly no troubles with removing the Grub 1.5 Loader that came with Kubuntu. I have multile hard drives but since i only have one windows installation it happened to be in c:\windows. I didnt even have to disable any of my other hard drives... But that will be quickly removed when I edit the boot.ini file in Windows to remove it.
