Be a royal Jane for the day with this comely crown by Tomitama. The Japanese designer and fellow other graphic artists are crazy for white (shirara) paper and the beauty that can come from it. So they called their collaborative pursuit Shirara. This tiara is among the more baroque of their efforts, kissed in gold and strung with a very long white satin ribbon. We love the modernity that comes from translating something so precious in idea as a tiara into something so fleeting as paper. Flatpacked and measuring about 6-3/4" tall and about 16-1/4" before interlocking the tabs--making it a perfectly princely coronet for all ages. See less

When you wear this Cross you'll feel like a Queen or that you're back in medieval times. Several pictures of the Old Celtic, Canterbury and Maltese crosses; Anything from Gravestones, Church Steeples, Kings, Queens Jewelry and even Popes were the inspiration to make this ornate baroque vintage style cross. The Pendant I started with a rich colored faceted 1 1/4" Bronzite Cross and wrapped an ornate Brass Filigree across the front securely with brass wire. Big 4mm Deep Blood Red Garnet gemstones are at the top and bottom accented with brass bead caps and a brass sculpted bead. The whole Cross Pendant measures 2 1/2 inches. Attached is a very Deep Red faceted 8mm Czech bead that dangles from slightly above the cross gently wrapped in another filigree accompanied with a sculpted brass bead. Almost half a decade ago, I was a scientist. While reading a book about the science of mood and emotion, I noticed that serotonin, in addition to being the molecule that makes us feel happy, has a very pretty shape. I thought it would make a beautiful necklace that would serve as a kind of talisman for happiness. After a Google search yielded no serotonin necklaces, I learned to make jewelry so that I could have one. Now, I am a full-time cobbler of silver molecules (and am much happier!). Funny the turns life gives us! Serotonin is the neurotransmitter molecule that induces feelings of happiness, satisfaction, and relaxation. SSRI medications, such as Prozac, work by increasing levels of serotonin. Of my whole molecule jewelry collection, the serotonin necklace is still my favorite. Based on the molecular shape of serotonin, it has a elegant, modern shape and symbolizes the contented feeling of happiness so lacking in our modern, fractured, frenzied lives.
