The Aptera was designed from the ground up as an electric vehicle, and later as an extended range electric vehicle. After building the proof-of-concept Mk-0, we hired the automotive design firm, 'eleven', to help us further develop the concept vehicle. The 'eleven' team, led by Jason Hill and Nathan Armstrong, made great strides in the development of the Aptera's body styling, interior design, and structural engineering. Meanwhile, we refined the Aptera's shape to maximize efficiency using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), developed and built advanced suspension and drivetrain components, and integrated a strong yet lightweight composite shell. Our entire process has been developed in-house exclusively by Aptera for the Aptera Typ-1. Our structural elements have undergone countless revisions of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) to be lightweight, robust, and manufacturable. See less

In the camper market there is strong demand for new design and personalized, tailor-made solutions. Individualist tourists want a caravan that is made just for them. The solution to the problem is offered by the “Mehrzeller” – the multicellular caravan. Using the online Configurator, every user sets up a design that is unique, their own layout that they can identify with. The configuration is generated by a computer using the customer’s inputs, and then the final design is done by parameters from the architects to yield an attractive and practicable result. The Goggomobil Dart was designed and built only in Australia by Buckle Motors on a chassis and running gear imported from Hans Glas of Dingolfing in Germany who designed and built Goggomobil Sedans, Coupes, Transporters (panel vans) and a prototype Cabriolet for Europe and export markets. The home models were powered by a 250cc twin cylinder two stroke motor but in Australia either a 300cc or a 400cc engine was used. It is calculated that 1700 Goggomobils were made in Australia at Buckle’s Punchbowl factory of which 700 were Darts. Fortunately the bodies were made from fibre glass which does not rust, consequently quite a few vehicles survived however the floor pan chassis did rust so complete vehicles in original condition are difficult to locate as all floor pans usually need major restoration. His idea came from Biomechatronics and he dubbed his concept as the Deux Ex Machina and will consist of an vertically parking motorcycle that will be managed by 36 pneumatic muscles with 2 linear actuators. The Deus Ex Machina is Yamaha-branded and it will be worn as an exo-skeleton and the helmet will be pneumatically attached. The in-wheel motor will be able to power the motorcycle from 0 to 60mph in 3 seconds and it will have a maximum speed of 75mph. Unfortunately more often and not a person in a wheelchair is viewed internationally as a symbol for disability. A lot of wheelchair drivers do not feel disabled and experience similar dimensions to ordinary people. The intension of Pegasus is to break with the image and appearance of current wheelchairs. Pegasus allows an efficient movement in an upright position. The 2007 Tokyo Motor Show will have more concept vehicles than ever this year and some are looking more radical than ever, just take a look at the Toyota i-Real, the vehicle is more unusual than the Toyota i-Swing ever was which was at the 2005 Tokyo Motor Show. The i-Real is in fact a personal mobility transport concept, which has an adjustable wheel base which you can see from these photos. When you are using the Toyota i-Real at low speeds the wheels will move closer together which will increase its maneuverability, and also give the rider a higher ride height. When the i-Real is used at higher speeds the wheels will then move apart and give you a lower ride height, this makes it more stable while traveling faster. We do not know what the top speed of the Toyota i-Real Concept is, but let’s face it is will not be fast enough to cause you any harm if you was to fall off. See less
