Installing an application distributes many files throughout your System using space of your Hard Drive unnecessarily. AppCleaner can find all these small files and safely delete them. Simply drop an application onto the AppCleaner icon and AppCleaner searches for the related files and you can delete them by clicking the delete button. If you change your mind, just click on the cancel button. The "Applications" button shows all the applications installed on your system. You can select them and then click on the search button. AppCleaner will search for the related files of the selected applications and delete them, too. The "Widgets" button shows all the installed widgets and the "Others" button displays all the installed Preference Panes, Plugins and Screen Savers. See less

There were some tools out there which did cover some aspects of my needs. But either they did not interact with my beloved Backpack Account or they gave me not the nice dashboard-like overview I needed at that time. Despite the lightweight of theseswidgets, when you hare running dozens of them, they takes a lot of memory, especially on old computers. Because Apple didn't allow us to quit Dashboard, i create Dashquit, to quit Dashboard in a single click. To quit Dashboard, just click on the stop button on the widget's left and confirm by pressing the "Yes" button. You can disable the confirmation in the preferences. When Dashquit is launching, it compute the amount of memory (RAM) that Dashboard is using and display it in the little screen. You can refresh the amount of RAM by clicking the screen or you can enable the timer in the preferences. See less
