Suzuki has revealed its price list on the new XL7 SUV. Aiming to widen its presence in the U.S. market, Suzuki plans to sell its new utility vehicle at an extremely (almost ridiculously) low cost. In its press release (.doc file), Suzuki is announcing that the 2007 Suzuki XL7 SUV will start at MSRP of $22,899. For this money, you'll get an XL7 with 3.6-liter V6 DOHC engine, producing a maximum of 252 hp and 243 lb-ft (329 Nm) of torque. The engine is mated to a five-speed automatic with manual shift controls. Standard package for the XL7 includes four airbags, driver and passenger front airbags and side-curtain airbags, TPMS, ABS with EBD, ESP and TCS. Of course, the Suzuki's flagship SUV comes with standard remote keyless entry, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, 16-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning with climate control, power windows, door locks and mirrors, trip computer, automatic headlamps, and AM/FM/CD audio system with six speakers. The LX7 will be introduced in three trim levels: the already mentioned basic XL7, the XL7 Luxury and the XL7 Limited. The first pair may be ordered in either five- or seven-passenger configuration with Nivomat self-leveling rear suspension, and in front- or all-wheel drive (the latter will add $1,600 to the price tag). More XL7 photos and technical specifications are at the company's media site.
