It seems so strange that something as traditionally English as a 3-Tier Cake Stand should be made by a 200 year old French manufacturer. Louis Pillivuyt began making his own special porcelain in 1818, using his special combination of raw materials to make the highest quality and strongest porcelain. Our 3-Tier Cake Stand makes the perfect focal point for afternoon tea or any other occasion when you have a few friends round. | Our 3-Tier Cake Stand is made from a special porcelain developed by French potter, Louis Pillivuyt in 1818. His porcelain was so strong and white, that it won numerous gold medals and awards throughout the world in the 19th century. The Cake Stand has 3 different plates, which are held together with a silver finished rod. The top finishes with a fixed carrying ring. The diameters of the 3 plates are: Top - 16cm (6.25" approx) Middle - 20cm (8") Bottom - 23.5cm (9.25") The overall height of the stand is 33cm (approx 13"). Although you may not plan to use them in this way, the plates are microwave safe, can be taken from freezer to oven and are dishwasher safe.
