See more » This pretty set consists of a hand mirror (13"L), comb (8"), nail file (8"), curved nail/cuticle scissors (4-3/4") and a bud vase with a glass insert which has beautiful cut/etched floral decoration and a fluted rim (5-1/2"). The celluloid is in excellent condition with no cracks or discoloration, and the glass is in perfect shape. The mirror glass is a bit scratched (see photos) but not spotted or missing any silvering; the handle is slightly scuffed, as if the bottom edge of the mirror where it was placed down over time. The file is a little bit loose and the metal on the scissors need to be cleaned up/polished but other than these minor defects, the set is in great shape. The color is a very striking with an allover marbling from golden yellow to very pale, almost silvery yellow color. This is laminated over a clear, dark amber layer and cut down to reveal both colors in contrast. This looks especially nice on the comb, where the dark amber color shows on both the teeth and around the edge. The pieces have very elegant shapes with notched corners and gracefully sloping sides.
