We use multiple Gmail accounts as 'containers' for different parts of our lives. For instance, the team has general email, Bumble Search development & customer service and our own personal organisation. To effectively achieve this, we typically use 3 Gmail accounts: main email, Bumble Search forwarding email, and a task bin for our to do's. (Remember though, Gmail is designed to be a huge information repository - there is no sense in partioning your life too much.) Using Portable Firefox for Seperate (GTD)Gmail Accounts The only hassle is using automatic login with multiple Gmail accounts. The solution is to use Portable Firefox - which allows multiple copies of Firefox to be installed; each with their own cookies (a cookie is what is used to save your username/password information locally - you need one for each account). For example, * You would continue using Firefox (the proper version) for your regular email account. * You would download and install Portable Firefox. * You would create a seperate icon for this, and make Gmail the homepage. * You would set Gmail to automatically log in to your personal account. * Then, when you need to load your personal Gmail with GTDGmail, you would click the Portable Firefox icon on your desktop. In summary, using Portable Firefox allows you to effectively have GTDGmail on your desktop ready to launch into any Gmail account you may have. If GTD isn't working out for you personally, then you can still use GTDGmail to improve Gmail. After doing these changes (Tools -> GTDGmail -> Options), you will be able to easily manipulate labels and save searches; but you will have no GTD specific functionality. In the Gmail Integration Options Tick: * 'Show GTD Search' Link * Drop Down Box for Saved GTD Searches * 'Save to GTD Saved Searches' Button on Search Results Link * Compose Mail: Send Myself a Task/Reference * Email Conversation: Easy Assignment of Labels Untick: * All "Left Navigation Bar" items * GTD Review Links for Outstanding Statuses * 'Print Hipster PDA Cards' Button * GTD Assistant in Label Settings * GTD Assistant in Filter Settings * Include Normal Labels Untick: * When Composing Emails, Make 'Send Myself a Task' the Default View * GTD Review only uses Items in your Inbox In 'Misc. Options' Tick:
