Our Anubis figure is an 18 inch tall jointed doll of the Egyption god as a black jackal. He's made of fine synthetic plush in your choice of black, with leather pawpads and earliners, wearing Egyptian costume and jewelry. Details of costume fabric and jewelry vary. Anubis (Anpu) is our most popular anthropomorphic character. I think his popularity is due to his striking presence. He's handsome, glossy black, and this sets off his jewelry very nicely. We've made a special-order Anubis as a golden jackal, and he turned out to be pretty handsome too. The familiar form of the black jackal god of mummification, the conductor of the deceased into the underworld, appears as statues, reliefs, and on papyri.
